The Easter weekend saw a fabulous open day hosted by Hooe’s Yurts in deepest, most beautiful Devon.  They were celebrating the completion of their huge new 44ft yurt – a cathedral sized structure that can seat 120 wedding guests, or even linked to smaller yurts to create an even bigger space.

It’s time’s like these when I wish I didn’t live so far north as I would have loved to attend the open day with Amy and Max from Hooe’s Yurts (especially as it was just up the road from my granny’s home!).  Like you, I shall have to be satisfied with seeing all the beautiful pictures of what I missed out on – if you did miss out on the open day and love the look of Hooe’s Yurts, you’ll find contact details at the bottom of the blog post.

Amy from Hooe’s Yurts tells me, “It was a fantastic day supported by some excellent local wedding suppliers and enjoyed by a crowd of happy guests.  Lots of cake was eaten and the yurt had the joyous christening it deserved.”

On the open day, they added a little chill out snug to the giant yurt, complete with a wood burner and exotic Bollywood props from Jolly Good Wedding – a great space for entertaining children or an area for grown-ups to relax.

To complement the stunning interiors of the Hooe’s Yurts, Amy got a team of local wedding suppliers involved to create a boho country wedding theme, with vintage crockery, beautiful wedding stationery (from our own Charlie Scribble who you can find in the directory), bunting, and gorgeous flowers.
