If you’re looking for an imaginative country setting for your marriage or civil partnership celebrations, somewhere out of the way without being remote, somewhere relaxed, friendly, unstuffy but romantic – come to talk to us!”

I’m so jealous I can’t enter this competition today – one lucky reader is going to win this beautiful string of silk bunting made from vintage sarees. This is just one of many lovely products that you can find at Ganesha, an online shop full of handmade accessories and gifts, including vintage and upcycled, all fairly produced from Indian, Bangladesh and beyond!
Each string of bunting is 5 metres long and has about 16 flags that are 23 x 21cm. Each one is unique and a riot of stunning colours, perfect for decorating your wedding venue or tent with in true vintage eco-chic style! The picture above only shows part of one string, and I think they are a beautiful alternative to the traditional floral bunting if you are after something a bit different.
Wildflower Favours create a wide range of eco-friendly wildflower seed packet favours and plantable seeded paper favours and invites, as well as stocking lots of handmade and recycled paper, favour boxes and other favour supplies perfect for a natural wedding. Until the 31st March 2012 they are offering our readers 10% off all their products.
Teresa from Wildflower Favours explains why wildflowers are so important, “British native wildflowers are in decline and this has a knock-on effect on our natives bees, butterflies and moths who rely on the wildflowers for their survival. By incorporating wildflowers into your wedding invites, favours etc you are helping to preserve our native wildflower and wildlife, and also encouraging your guests to garden in a more biodiversity-friendly way”
Foundation Jewellery are licensed makers of fairtrade gold wedding and engagement rings, with full traceable diamonds and recycled gold and platinum available as well. To celebrate our birthday, they are offering readers 10% off their collections for a limited time period.
They stock a range of high quality and classic wedding and engagement ring designs, all bearing the Foundation Jewellery hummingbird mark. As one of the first jewellers in the world to be registered to craft using fairtrade and fairmined gold you can be sure that you are not only investing in a beautiful piece to celebrate your love, but also an ethical one.
I spotted this on Etsy and thought it was not only very pretty but very useful, both if you’re planning a wedding and if you love cut flowers at home. Made by a non-profit organisation in Vancouver, Canada, this pretty ceramic disc sits atop your vase and holds your flowers in place by sliding them through the holes.
I think it looks like a large button, and would not only be great for arranging a few pretty blooms for your wedding reception tables, but would be an item you used loads afterwards. They are on my wish list. You can buy them from their Etsy shop Just Work, it doesn’t detail postage to the UK but I’m hopeful if you enquired they’d be able to post them (they also make a beautiful range of other pottery items).
The lovely Chloe from BareBlooms is offering all couples who book their wedding flowers by 1st May 2012 a replica bridal bouquet sent to you on your first wedding anniversary – how lovely is that!
Chloe uses natural, seasonal blooms for her wedding flowers, all grown in the Welsh Borders. Her loose and natural style has a wild, cottage garden meets countryside feel to it, and she can work with you to create the wedding flowers that look and smell incredible.
Perhaps you’d like a hen party in the style of vintage afternoon tea party, or you’d like to treat your wedding guests to a sumptuous dinner served on vintage china – well if your hen party or wedding is between June 2013 and August 2013 you can get 15% off both these from Darby and Joan Vintage.
For hen parties, Karen from Darby and Joan Vintage will supply all the food, china hire and venue styling – leaving you to relax and have fun with your hens. Today’s competition will give one lucky bride-to-be a choice of two fantastic prizes from The Real Cut Flower Garden. You can enter to win either:
A stunning bridal bouquet of seasonal flowers, grown by Charlie in her flower field, and handmade and arranged to your particular preferences.
Or…
A flower arranging hen party at Charlie’s flower studio in Herefordshire, where the brides goes free and up to 7 hen’s can join you with an exclusive 20% discount per person. Plus you all get to take the flowers away with you at the end of the day!
Yes you might have spotted me in the picture above – that’s because Charlie from The Real Cut Flower Garden made my bouquet for our wedding last May, so I can vouch for how beautiful her flowers from firsthand experience.
