I’m so jealous I can’t enter this competition today – one lucky reader is going to win this beautiful string of silk bunting made from vintage sarees. This is just one of many lovely products that you can find at Ganesha, an online shop full of handmade accessories and gifts, including vintage and upcycled, all fairly produced from Indian, Bangladesh and beyond!
Each string of bunting is 5 metres long and has about 16 flags that are 23 x 21cm. Each one is unique and a riot of stunning colours, perfect for decorating your wedding venue or tent with in true vintage eco-chic style! The picture above only shows part of one string, and I think they are a beautiful alternative to the traditional floral bunting if you are after something a bit different.
The bunting is made Calcutta Rescue, a pavement clinic that provides free medical care to anybody in need. This bunting is made by ex-patients. Whether you are the lucky winner of this vintage silk sari bunting or not, you must have a look at the other products that Ganesha sell, perfect for wedding gifts or wedding decorations, like their leaf plates and vintage silk sari scarves which would be fab for bridesmaids.

Wow that’s gorgeous bunting. If I won, I’d use it to decorate our Farmers Market tent. This will be our first year at the market selling our handmade baskets and rustic home decor items. I think this bunting will help get us noticed. I love it and wish all you fabulous people out there good luck in the contest.

I would use this bunting for my wedding in June – i’ve been searching ebay for something unique and to no avail so far – and this is perfect!
We are having our reception in an eco-barn building, so this would be 100% perfect.
I would then reuse it to decorate a room in my home – maybe the kitchen!

This bunting is stunning! I want to put it in in my eco camper van, the colours will brighten up the space and tell its own story to all the people we meet on our adventure.

If I were to be so lucky as to win this bunting, i would customise it with the word ‘welcome’ and hang it above the doorway of the chapel I am getting married in. Fingers crossed x
