It’s been a little quiet on the blog, we’ll have more details to share on that soon. But today we are delighted to be sharing with you this very special Celtic wedding inspiration shoot from TNWC photographer Emma Stoner.
I love the wild and natural styling from Emma Stoner and The Prop Factory. It is earthy and organic, with the most beautiful natural colour palette that reflects the surroundings. For any couples who are looking for Celtic wedding inspiration, this is a truly beautiful styled shoot to give you lots of ideas. These Celtic wedding ideas are subtle, refined, and elegant.
Over to Emma Stoner to tell us more…
Celtic wedding inspiration
This styled shoot is inspired by the Celtic Winter Solstice or Yule, the origins of contemporary Christmas and one of 8 fire festivals celebrated yearly by the Celts. The styling is wild and natural, in keeping with the pagan roots of the Celtic culture.
A winter solstice wedding
I shot this in three parts – with a cosy, winter set-up at Boho Cornwall, alongside styled images in the landscape. The two sites I chose were an ancient stonecircle, the Nine Maidens and Porthgwarra Beach. Both locations have a wild, rugged feel about them which was fitting for this theme.
Cosy winter wedding ideas
Our well styled cosy interior serves as inspiration for couples planning a winter wedding or elopement. Boho Cornwall was the perfect venue for this. It specialises in elopements, and offers couples a cosy winter stay in the heart of this ancient landscape.
A Cornish Celtic beach wedding
I also shot details at Porthgwarra Beach. The set-up here depicts a casual wedding picnic with some Celtic detailing. Included in this are handmade wedding rings by Justin Duance, crafted from sand at nearby Sennen. The stag, thistle and tree of life are symbols used throughout this shoot.
A Celtic inspired wedding dress and cape
Our beautiful wedding dress, accessories and jewellery were provided by Celtic Fusion, based in Ireland. Their designs are all handmade and ecologically produced from sustainable materials.
Wild and seasonal wedding flowers
Twigs & Greens provided wild and seasonal flowers which complimented the set-up perfectly. Our cake maker, Queen Bee Cakes, created a beautiful twiggy wreath which decorated the natural cake. She also made another wreath which was used for both indoor and outdoor details.
Wow, what a beautiful styled shoot! This has to be one of my favourite inspiration shoots, and I hope it inspires some of our couples who resonate with feel it evokes. A huge thank you to Emma Stoner for sharing it with us.
