I am slowly beginning to admit that Christmas is on the way, what with my recent blog feature on those stunning festive dessert tables and now Christmas wreaths and workshops.
I absolutely love wreaths, I wish that we were more like the States and had wreaths for different seasons and celebrations throughout the year, and not just Christmas – anyone else up for starting this trend? Perhaps The New Wives Club could get a group of us to make a wreath for each month of 2013 and we could share our pictures? Am I getting carried away 🙂
A number of the lovely florists and flower farmers listed on the TNWC directory have started to release details of upcoming wreath workshops and how to order their Christmas wreaths online, so I thought to help you all out I’d do a feature to showcase a lot of them all in one place.
Plus, there are a couple of exclusive discounts for TNWC readers below, so don’t miss out on those!
Without further ado, here’s where you can get your Christmas wreath from this year, or if you’d rather go on a wreath making workshop there are details of those too…
The Garden Gate Flower Company Christmas Wreaths
The lovely Becca & Maz from The Garden Gate Flower Company are offering an exclusive 10% discount to TNWC readers on ready-made wreaths – simply quote “DINGDONG” when ordering. Having received their beautiful arrangements for my stall at the Eco Wedding Fair I can testify to how beautiful their creations are.
There is nothing more festive than a Christmas wreath on your front door. Lush evergreen foliage, holly, ivy, bay and red berries in a wreath, bristling with the scent of pine needles and fir, encompass all that is Christmassy in their hedgerows and woodlands.
A more pared-down wreath might be more your style with nubbly twigs decorated with lichens, cones, berries and seedheads, on a handmade, woven willow framework that will last for years to come.
The Garden Gate Flower Company can offer a range of styles including beautiful pheasant feathers and dried hydrangeas, to kitchen wreaths made from scented foliage, bay and garden herbs, with a selection of foodie related goodies. Their wreaths are grown or foraged for on their organic farm in Cornwall and handmade to suit your location or decorative ideas.
Wreaths are available locally and by mail order, and start at £25 plus post and packaging. You can order your Christmas wreath online and don’t forget to quote “DINGDONG” when ordering a readymade wreath to get your 10% discount!

This Christmas the lovely Susanne at The Blue Carrot is offering a range of wreaths that are available locally to her in Cornwall (you lucky Cornish peeps!), from the more traditional wreaths with evergreen foliage to more unusual designs using rosehips, grasses, dried herbs, moss, anemones and succulents.
