Colourful patchwork wedding cake

This week’s Cake Love just had to be this colourful cake covered in vibrant patchwork style covering and surrounded by fresh hops.  I love this fun take on the traditional tiered wedding cake, especially the top tier which is different to the two layers below.

The bride and groom initial cake topper is such a great idea and one that could easily by replicated by a crafty bride – I have seen the plain initials for sale (but can’t remember where!) and then all you need are some scrap magazines that you can tear up and use to cover the initials.
