You’re invited to The Natural Wedding Company’s 5th Birthday Party!
I am a bit nervous about sharing this news in case you don’t share my excitement – I really hope you do, so fingers-crossed. As you might know by now, I am celebrating 5 years of The Natural Wedding Company this March 2012 – there will be loads of offers and competitions everyday during March so make sure you keep checking back.
When thinking about how I would love to celebrate 5 years, I couldn’t think of a lovelier way to celebrate than with a small party with some of my readers, eating cake and doing something crafty. So…
I would like to invite you to The Natural Wedding Company’s 5th Birthday Party!
Now, there have been all kinds of glamorous parties and events in the wedding industry world, I was even lucky enough to go to the Love My Dress Summer Soiree last year. My party isn’t going to be anywhere near the scale of these other events, my party is going to be a small party – there are just 10 places available – and you won’t need to dress up in swanky frocks, although party dresses are welcome!
I just want to share an afternoon with some of my lovely readers, making something lovely we can all take home afterwards, eat some delicious food (and cake!) and for me to be able to say, “wow, this is where I’ve got to in 5 years and I love it.” Whilst my party might not have hundreds of guests or require glamorous frocks, I think it’s going to be pretty fantastic and I hope you’ll think so too.
Firstly, the lovely Anna of A Alicia Handmade is coming all the way from London to do a craft workshop with us! I have never met Anna before, but she made my beautiful vintage bow garter and I love her work – I have a necklace made by Anna that I treasure. I am over-the-moon that she agreed to come and run a workshop at my party. Plus you’ll get to take home whatever you make (I know what we’re doing but am keeping it a secret!).
Secondly, my friend and photographer Mark Tattersall will be joining us to take photos of the day – so we can all have a lovely reminder of the day and so we can share with people what we got up to.
That’s Mark and I in the photobooth at the LMD Summer Soiree!
There will be a delicious spread of food and lots of cake – after all, a birthday isn’t really a party without cake. And finally, I hope that this will be a lovely afternoon for a mixture of my lovely like-minded readers to get together and talk weddings, and all the other things we like to do.
Although there are only 10 places available, they are open to all readers of The Natural Wedding Company – whether you are engaged and planning your wedding, or if you recently got married and used the directory and blog. I would love to have a mixture of engaged and recently married girls as this will be a wonderful opportunity to share our experiences.
The party is being held on Sunday 15th April at my home in Cheshire (aah! yes really – lots of tidying to get done!). It will be from 12.30pm until 4.30/5pm. There will be a delicious lunch on arrival, followed by a craft workshop with A Alicia Handmade, and then cake before you head home.
This is a party, so there is no cost to attend – just your travel. I would just be delighted to have you as my guest! There are 10 places available, so please find out below how you can register interest in coming to the party.
Coming to the party
Sadly my house isn’t big enough for me to invite lots and lots of people, and I much prefer smaller parties anyway. For this reason I am only able to invite 10 people, to be considered you’ll just need to fill in a short questionnaire.
All I ask is that you are:
1. A regular reader of The Natural Wedding Company blog and website.
2. Engaged and planning your wedding OR recently married (within the 12 months-ish).
3. Free on Sunday 15th April 2012 and happy to travel to Cheshire for a 12.30pm start.
If you said ‘yes’ to all of the above points, please click on the link below to fill in a short questionnaire. The closing date for the questionnaire is Friday 23rd March 2012. If you’d like to come to the party, you must complete the questionnaire before this date so that I know you are interested.
I will be announcing who has been invited to the party on Friday 30th March 2012. The 10 people chosen will be sent full details including directions to my home and pick-up arrangements if you’re arriving by train. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
