Having a short break from our wedding details I wanted to share some of the latest creations from one of the businesses from the directory. I am always so amazed by the creativity and imagination of people, especially those businesses I work with on my website – there can be so much of the same ‘stuff’ in the wedding world, it’s refreshing to see something different.
Kat from The Paper Florist is one of those people. She creates stunning flowers from recycled papers, they can be used for table decorations or even the brides bouquet. Here is some of her recent work at a beautiful May Day wedding.
Kat told me “the table centres were lovingly created using recycled and reclaimed teal, cream and brown paper and were given away as thank you bunches after they’d been enjoyed by the guests at the wedding reception.”
I love how Kat’s beautiful flowers have been combined with the dried Honesty and Poppy seed heads – truly striking and original. A lovely vintage element to the tables with the teacups filled with sweets.
Kat’s also been busy creating all sorts of paper combinations after she designed this classic pink bridal bouquet – yes, those flowers really are made from paper, wow!
Kat told me “this one was made using a combination of handmade pink petal paper and recycled cream paper with artificial leaves. I wanted to create something really realistic, classical and stunning and I hope I’ve achieve it. If you have to take a double take perhaps I have!” I certainly did!
If you’ve been inspired by Kat’s stunning work then get in contact with her at info@thepaperflorist.co.uk and get your heads together to dream up your wedding flowers.
