Eco Luxe Elopement Wedding
This photoshoot is inspired by an eco luxe elopement wedding held against the stunning backdrop of River Cottage. The photoshoot team wanted to embrace as much as possible the ethos of being eco whilst staying in harmony with the wedding venue. It also features a number of our TNWC Recommended Suppliers – you’ll find all the details at the bottom of the post.
As Laura, photographer at Freeformimage Photography, told us, “A wedding a River Cottage will always inspire and enchant.”

Today we’re sharing our Favourite Natural Wedding Flowers. Gosh what a hard post this was to create! Narrowing down to just a handful of our favourites was incredibly difficult, because we love flowers. Hopefully this post will give you a taste of what kinds of British grown, seasonal wedding flower inspiration you can find on our blog.
Our Favourite Wedding Bouquets
A Bee-Friendly Wildflower Wedding Bouquet
Miriam was one of our TNWC Real Brides and I loved her passion for incorporating seasonal, locally-grown and bee-friendly blooms into her wedding day. Her wild summer bouquet has always stuck with me, it seems like a genuine representation of the ever-popular ‘just picked’ bouquet style.
It incorporates some really beautiful blooms – blue borage flowers, white cosmos, hot pink honeysuckle, yellow dill flowers, and delicate foxgloves. They all come together in this heavenly meadow-garden bouquet that truly captured the bee-friendly element that Miriam was passionate about.
Charlie’s favourite wedding bouquet comes from Miriam and John’s Scottish 1920’s wildflower inspired wedding. Bouquet by Pyrus. Photography by Photos by Zoe.
Louise and Andrew’s cosy winter wedding at River Cottage with spring inspired bouquet and dapper groomsmen
We might be headed into summer but this cosy winter wedding held at River Cottage in Devon reminds us of all that is great about a winter wedding done well. Louise and Andrew had an intimate wedding with just 50 of their friends and family, with excellent local food (obviously!) and seasonal touches that embraced the farm venue. I also particularly love the attention they put in for the babies and children at this wedding – some great ideas. Plus gorgeous photography from Larissa Joice who we’ve featured previously here.

A Cosy Winter Wedding at River Cottage
It goes without saying that we are huge advocates of supporting British flower farmers. We wholly promote using British and seasonal flowers for your wedding day. It is always with delight then that we enjoy celebrating British Flowers Week. We love that British flowers and foliage get the love and publicity they deserve. Luckily we are finding that their popularity is growing more and more which is amazing to see. This week is British Flowers Week 2017 and we wanted to mark it with a little recap as to why we think you should buy British blooms and support our homegrown experts and businesses.
Natural organic wedding inspiration with a romantic spring bouquet, touches of copper and vintage wedding dresses
This spring photoshoot is full of natural organic wedding inspiration with hints of peach, pale blue and copper. The team were inspired by vintage reclamation and the organic and natural colours and textures of oxidised copper. From the exquisite handpainted botanical cakes to the vintage wedding dresses (the rose pink one!) and touches of foraged blossom, this photoshoot is brimming with inspiration.

Joanna and Dan’s elegant eco garden wedding with coral peony bouquets, a riverside marquee, steel pan band and wood-fired pizza
What a lovely treat we have for you today – the elegant eco garden wedding of our colleague Joanna. She’s been busy writing up the beautiful real weddings we get sent to be featured, but today we are taking a look at her own stunning wedding.
Think bouquets of coral peonies and blue delphiniums, a riverside marquee, and a steel pan band for this elegant eco garden wedding. Lots of thought went into taking care of their guests, from an ice cream van to wood-fired pizzas in the evening. Together with their family and friends, Joanna and Dan put lots of love into their wedding, keeping it eco-friendly in the most elegant way.

Charli and Sam’s sunny laid back village wedding with outdoor ceremony, locally grown flowers and tea cup wedding favours
It certainly feels as though Spring has sprung, and what better way to celebrate but with a gloriously sunny, cheerful and laid back village wedding.
Charli and Sam’s special day has an authentically wholesome vibe to it. Just looking at these beautiful photographs by Freckle Photography you get the sense that their day was true to them. While their ‘official’ nuptials took place in the edifying surrounds of historical Bath, their outdoor ceremony and marquee celebrations were set in the village Charli grew up in.
The couple’s decisions typify the quintessential natural English wedding: hay bales, locally sourced wildflowers and homemade bunting, and it really is lovely. Emma of Freckle Photography, one of our recommended suppliers, has captured the happiness of their day perfectly. Let’s chat to bride Charli to find out more…
