You’ve got your instructions and inspiration for natural boho wedding hair (and if you haven’t go check it out), so today we’re going to share with you how to get this natural wedding make-up perfect for the down-to-earth boho bride.
I don’t wear a lot of make-up myself and for my own wedding day I wanted that beautiful look that almost looked like I wasn’t wearing make-up (read about it here). It’s a bit like the popular ‘just-picked from a meadow’ wedding flower style, which is very much not just picked and involves lots of creative genius behind-the-scenes in order to achieve a really natural look.
It sounds a bit daft doesn’t, “dear make-up artist, please use make-up to make me look like I’m not wearing make-up”… But they do it, and today we have Bethany Jane Davies from The Vintage Beauty Parlour to show us how to (attempt at least!) achieve this natural boho bride look for ourselves.
How to get natural boho bride make-up
First you need to prep your skin with a primer suited to your skin type.

Next, apply foundation. Bethany used a dewy formulation for a fresh, natural look. Conceal under the eyes and also any blemishes.

Set with a light powder all over the face or just your T-zone if you have dry skin.

Using a shadow brush apply a warm bronze all over the lower lid and just above the crease of the eye.

Run this same colour along the lower lash line.

Next, add a highlight. Bethany used a gold.

Curl your lashes and add mascara to the lower and upper lashes.

Use a nude, peachy lip gloss on your lips.

On your cheeks use a pinky blush with a touch of shimmer for a dewy look.

Finally, finish with a bronzer. When applying, use the number “3” shape as a guide – start at the top of your forehead, brush along your cheekbones and sweep it across your jaw line.

This is the finished natural boho bride look – one I’d love to learn to recreate just for an evening out or special occasion, and one I think is perfect for a natural bride. It’s just like a super enhanced version of yourself, not altered drastically in anyway, just you but on a really really great day, which is what your wedding day is.

Don’t forget, there’s part one of this feature which showed you how to create natural boho wedding hair.
