Here at The Natural Wedding Company we are delighted to tell all you brides-to-be that White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair is returning to Cheshire on October 6th 2013. This autumn wedding fair promises to be a ‘whimsical wedding wonderland designed for the vintage inspired modern bride’, and we’ve got the opportunity for you to win one of 25 goody bags – more details below!

Held at the beautiful “Festival Hall” a 1920’s ballroom in Alderley Edge, this new venue for White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair will host host 25 independent bridal suppliers from across Manchester and Cheshire, who specialise in providing services and products with a twist on tradition.

Coming up later in the month we will be hosting the White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair competition (here’s details of the last one we ran), where one lucky bride-to-be will win a bundle of fab wedding prizes – so put Wednesday 25th September in your diary and be sure to check the blog that day to find out how you can enter.

Evening lovely friends! You might have heard that this weekend in London it’s the first ever Etsy UK Wedding Event, and it looks set to be a cracking day. I’ve got five pairs of tickets to the afternoon to giveaway to some of my lucky readers, so keep reading to find out how you could get your mitts on a pair.

The Etsy Wedding Event is taking place in Soho in London this Saturday 11th May 2013, and will be full of wedding inspiration, including a selection of unique handmade and vintage items. I’m told there will be a little bit of everything on show from decor and dresses to stationery and tableware!

As well as a selection of handpicked Etsy sellers there will DIY workshops running throughout the day. Hosted by Parapluie Events, these DIY workshops will let you have a go at making a selection of wedding decorations from colour themed pom-poms to bride and groom pegs.

Small nation, big green heart – a visit to the Welsh Green Weddings Fair

You may recall a couple of weeks ago I told you about a wedding fair that was being held at Welsh Green Weddings, one of our beautiful TNWC wedding venues. Although I was unable to attend the day, lucky for us the lovely Nik from Little House in Town did go and today I get to share what she found with you all.

Back in July, Nik shared her experiences at the Catkin cut flower workshop (she was the lucky TNWC competition winner) and I’m delighted to have her back guest posting.

If you’re a bride-to-be living in Wales, then you are one lucky lady. This tiny nation may hold only 5% of the UK population, but it certainly knows how to send a message, loud and clear. One such message was firmly delivered last weekend, as local green wedding suppliers convened on a field in rural Carmarthanshire for the Welsh Green Weddings Fair.

Green Wedding Fair and Open Day at Welsh Green Weddings on Sunday 23rd September 2012

Welsh Green Weddings are holding a Green Wedding Fair and Open Day on Sunday 23rd September 2012. Held at the Ceridwen Centre on their Welsh farm, they will be showcasing eco-chic wedding suppliers and providing an opportunity for brides and grooms to come and see what their beautiful wedding venue has to offer.

Simone from Welsh Green Weddings tells me that “Organic, fair trade, recycled and vintage will feature heavily, from florists to photographers” and there will be music and canapés to enjoy as well. There will also be a fantastic prize draw to win the Old Dairy as your wedding ceremony venue.

Gorgeous Green Wedding Fair on Saturday 14th April 2012 at the Clow Beck Eco Centre

The lovely Emily from Clervaux Weddings has been in touch to tell me about the Gorgeous Green Wedding Fair they are organising next Saturday 14th April 2012. The fair is being held at the Clow Beck Eco Centre, an organic, biodynamic farm in Croft on Tees near Darlington and will showcase a range of local and green wedding suppliers as well as allowing you to view their eco wedding venue.

Emily told me, “We’ll be showing people around our 100% eco venue and if they are lucky they may see some of our new born spring lambs! We have selection of local and green wedding suppliers from pre-loved dresses to crafty alternative hen dos, local photographers and florists promoting English grown seasonal flowers.”

The Wedding Project 11th March 2012 – an alternative wedding fair for the eco-friendly and handmade bride

If you live in London or the surrounding counties and you’re free this Sunday 11th March then you must head to The Wedding Project – an interactive wedding fair for the eco-friendly and handmade bride. The Wedding Project is a collaboration of Laura McCluskey Photography (Laura’s one of the photographer featured in the directory) and Retrospective Bride.

Held at the stunning Sutton House in Hackney, east London, the wedding fair offers a “hands-on” opportunity for couples who want a beautifully bespoke wedding to meet local suppliers and crafters for a truly personal wedding.

Diary date and giveaway: Vintage Chic Wedding Fair 22nd April 2012

If you are keen on having vintage inspired elements on your wedding day then I have a date for your diary – on Sunday 22nd April 2012 the Vintage Chic Wedding Fair is being held in Birmingham.

Opening its doors from 11.30am til 4pm, the fair will have over 40 vintage inspired wedding suppliers and entertainment from a jazz swing singer. A full list of exhibitors is coming shortly, but you can view past exhibitors on their website for an idea of what you can expect.

The Designer Vintage Bridal Show 2011

A brand new bridal show celebrating some of the best designers and suppliers of all things vintage is coming to Birmingham on 19th and 20th Febraury 2011.

Exhibitors include Jenny Packham, Emma Case Photography, The Boutique Baking Company and Rachel Simpson Shoes.

Our weekend at The Great Big Green Wedding Fayre

As some of you will know The Natural Wedding Company headed over to Liverpool last weekend to The Great Big Green Wedding Fayre. Last week was a bit manic – there was so much to get ready, and on Friday evening I wasn’t sure I felt prepared.

Luckily my lovely assistant Maria turned up on Friday evening and helped me to stuff my 200 goody bags with the lovely leaflets from some of our directory businesses. Those businesses included Blossom, Diva Stores, Green Paper Wishes, Oria Jewellery, the Pines Calyx, The Real Cut Flower Garden, and Vintage Memories. The bags also include a free gift from Falling Star – a May Chang scented room fragrancer which had a wonderful citrus scent. We have an exclusive offer for all bride- and grooms-to be from Falling Star that I’ll tell you about soon!

So it’s the last weekend before the Great Big Green Wedding Fayre. We are spending the bank holiday weekend with my family in the Cotswolds. Last week I was madly rushing around trying to get together the items I need for my stand.
