Today’s modern botanical vegan wedding inspiration shoot aims to illustrate that ‘having a vegan wedding does not mean a bride wearing a bag for a dress.’ According to the Vegan Society veganism has grown 350% in the last ten years. It is then great to see that industries such as the wedding industry are starting to embrace the trend which goes hand in hand with eco-friendly values.
As we very well know choosing eco-friendly doesn’t mean you need to compromise on style. The same can now be said for a vegan wedding. Hellbunt Events the team behind the concept and styling have created such a beautiful shoot with an incredible dessert table featuring edible succulents, a gorgeous bridal couple wearing fair-trade clothing and rings, and classy flower arrangements in shades of blush.
Modern botanical vegan wedding
The shoot was set to the backdrop of the pavilion of Arche Noah – a beautiful Austrian not-for-profit organisation focused on breeding and re-establishing rare plants. The choice of colours was guided by the paintings within the venue, resulting in a mild orange, blush pink and blue, which perfectly complimented the whites, greens and browns.
Delicious vegan wedding treats
There is the preconceived idea that vegan food can be boring. How incredible do the vegan succulent-shaped cupcakes look though! The personalised labels are a lovely little touch as well. To sit alongside the cupcakes was a vegan sponge wedding cake with cream filling and chocolate chip cookies with almond-milk all provided by NomNom a vegan bakery.
Ethical wedding fashion
Both the bride and groom rocked ethical wedding fashion. And don’t they look amazing! The brides wedding dress by Therese & Luise was produced from Ahimsa-silk (which uses the silk cocoon’s fiber only after the silkworm has emerged). Hair and make-up were kept soft and understated by Die Haargärtnerin who use natural, plant based beauty products.
The groom wore a smart suit by brainshirt from muso koroni and a fab wooden bow tie and matching cufflinks by BeWooden. Both produced from local carpentries’ surplus materials with a texture matching the bride’s gown’s lace for a lovely personal touch.
Both the bride and groom sported rings made from fairly traded platinum by Skrein* – Die Schmuckwerkstatt.
Eco-friendly and organic wedding styling
Beautiful organic flowers were created by Unverblümt LOK, a social organisation. The crockery used to decorate the banquet table was produced by local crafters.
The stationery by Project Pinpoint was all made from recycled paper with eco-friendly printing. Guests can throw petal confetti from the organic cotton bag when the bridal couple arrives at the location. The organic personalised wedding candle by Paliti BioKerzen was engraved and filled with spices on location.
Such a stunning shoot with some brilliant inspirational ideas whether you are planning a vegan wedding or not. Thank you to Hellbunt Events for sharing it with us. We would love to hear if you are planning a vegan wedding and the details you have considered.
