If you are a fan on Facebook, then this post has been long awaited – not only will you have probably seen this picture, but you might have also seen my sneak peek post here on the blog. Well, without further ado, I am delighted to share with you all the fantastic pictures from this photoshoot as well as introducing you to a fab new business who’s just joined the directory.

I’m no stranger to And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon, a fabulous cakeshop and cafe in a trendy suburb of Manchester.  I’ve enjoyed some fabulous events held in their tearoom after hours, from the fabulous An Era of Experience press launch party to the Silver Sixpence in Her Shoe bridal workshop, I’ve also enjoyed countless chocolate milkshakes and brownies on lazy afternoons with Mr Rigg and friends.

I am thrilled that And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon is one of the most recent businesses to join The Natural Wedding Company directory, offering our couples a great range of services, from full afternoon tea catering for weddings and hen parties, to cupcake towers.  But what I’m most excited about is a wonderful new service they’re offering to brides- and grooms-to-be, which is a bespoke dessert or cake table for your wedding.

To showcase the talents of the bakers at And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon and what they could do for your wedding, owner Anna decided to organise a photoshoot.  Collaborating with fellow TNWC business For The Love Of Vintage (who hire out gorgeous vintage crockery), the shoot was staged in a sunny backgarden with pretty flowers and a great photographer to capture it all.  And I got to tag along!

I asked Anna to share some more details about their new wedding offering, “Designed with true cake lovers in mind, our dessert table service is perfect for weddings and birthdays.  Couples can select from our extensive cake menu, and we can work with our wide range of beautiful props to style the whole spread to look stunning and delicious in equal measure!”

And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon can even cater to family recipes and favourite desserts not on their menu: “You can let us have your favourite recipes and we’ll add them into the glorious spread.  We can also work with you to create a bespoke spread that indulges your favourite cake and pudding preferences.”

The photos you see here showcase just a small selection of the kind of cakes and desserts that you could have for your wedding, and just some of the props available.  The range of goodies that these ladies have to make your wedding dessert table not only look incredible, but taste delicious too is pretty spectacular.

I particularly love this style, with the wooden boards wrapped in brown paper, the cake stands with their cotton reel bases, the blue and white enamel dishes, and the rustic wooden crates.  I’m pretty sure that you’ll be a fan too!

Here’s a lowdown on some of the desserts and cakes you can see in the photos (and that you could have for your wedding dessert table): chocolate and raspberry torte, rose and pistachio bars, muscovado carrot cake, gooey chocolate brownies, key lime pie, chocolate dipped strawberries, lemon meringue tarts, millionaires shortbread, and apple and blackberry crumble.

Are you feeling hungry yet?  Or just dreaming of a banquet of cake and desserts for your wedding…
