Edwardian inspired lace wedding dress for a modern bride
I’m sure a number of you will have already seen this dress when the wedding was featured over on Love My Dress, but as regular readers will know I love the Edwardian era and feel the old eras are often forgotten when it comes to ‘vintage’ inspiration for weddings. So I’m hoping I can champion it a bit here at The Natural Wedding Company.
Back in September of 2011 I featured a couple of dresses from Charlotte Casadejus that I’d fallen in-love with for their use of beautiful lace, and when I say beautiful lace I mean the kind that is intricate, delicate and feminine. It was lovely to spot this gorgeous bride on Love My Dress wearing one of those dresses that had been tailored especially for her.
It represents everything I love about wedding dresses, and probably because a part of me still wishes we got to wear dresses like this on a more regular basis.
If, like me, you also share a love for this older era and are inspired by it when it comes to planning your wedding, do check out my Edwardian Inspired board on Pinterest for a growing collection of ideas and inspiration that I feel sum up what this era means to me.
I’d also love to hear from you, so do leave me a message below – I’d love to know what it is you love about this period in time, and why you want to take inspiration from it for your wedding day.
Check out Charlotte Casadéjus for full details of her wedding dresses.
