Laid back Cornish spring wedding
Sarah of Green Photographic recently captured the lovely laid back Easter wedding of Sal and George, who got married near Newquay and included a beach walk with their guests during the afternoon. I have a softspot for Devon and Cornwall, especially during spring time, so I hope you enjoy this pretty country and seaside wedding as much I did.
I do so love these photos of Sal coming down the stairs, with everyone waiting for her and looking at her, finally ready to make her way to her wedding.
Sal’s bouquet was made by Daisy Roots, using yellow fresias, purple lisianthus and tiny daisy-like flowers – isn’t it a beautiful combination of colours and flowers?
Sal’s bridesmaids wore pretty purple dresses and carried bouquets of flowers put together by Sal’s Nanna and Aunt Rita using flowers from Daisy Roots.
Sal and her bridesmaids walked down a sun dappled lane to the church where her and George would get married. I think this is such a lovely way to get to your wedding ceremony if it’s close enough – especially if the sun is shining!
I never get tired of looking at pictures of the moment a couple first see each other during their wedding ceremony, having been there myself it always brings back all those memories of my own wedding day and just how special this moment is for the two of you.
The smartest guest with her blue spotty bandana…
During the wedding ceremony all the guests lit a candle – to see everyone light a candle from your wedding candle must be wonderful, and a great way to get your family and friends more involved in your wedding ceremony.
Didn’t Sal and George have the loveliest weather for their Easter spring wedding!
After the wedding ceremony, Sal and George went for a walk along the beach with their family and friends and Sarah from Green Photographic had a wonderful opportunity to capture some lovely photographs of everyone.
The boys even had a game of rugby!
Their wedding reception was held at Colan Barton with a beautifully decorated tent in the grounds where everyone ate dinner. Sal and George’s family and friends helped decorate the marquee, with one of Sal’s bridesmaids making all the jars that were hanging in the trees.
I love the pretty details that Sal and George chose to decorate their marquee, from the hedgerow gathered flowers in the teacups on tables, to the cute flags atop the pile of freshly made scones.
And perhaps two of the most stunning wedding cakes – made by the groom’s mum (and no, she’s not a cake maker/decorator by trade!)…just look at those teapots and teacups…and the scones! I’m having cake envy over these two…
I want to say a huge thank you to Sal and George for allowing me to share their wedding day with you, and to Sarah of Green Photographic who took all these beautiful photographs. If you’d like to see even more photos of the day, do check out the Green Photographic blog.
