I love this venue, but I thought you had to resident in France for at least 40 days prior to wedding?

CharlieB on 2. February, 2012

Hi Jemma, thanks for your comment – I’m not sure on this one but will email Janet at Chateau de Fayolle for her advice xXx

Janet de Bathe on 2. February, 2012

Hi Jemma
Yes, you are right about the 40 days. All European countries have their own residency requirements so all of our couples have a low key civi/legal ceremony in the UK and their celebration and religous/non religous ceremony here in our chapel. They all say that they think of their ‘real’ wedding celebration and big party as being here at the Chateau.

CharlieB on 2. February, 2012

Thanks Janet so much for leaving feedback for Jemma – its great to know how you go about having a French wedding and what your previous couples have done xXx
