A recent addition to the directory is an inspirational company called Jewels for Freedom who are doing truly amazing work.

Set up in 2010 by Carol Shipley, Jewels for Freedom sell beautiful bridal jewellery, donating all the proceeds from sales to a charity called ‘Children on the Edge’.

‘Children on the Edge’ helps children vulnerable to trafficking, and has projects in Thailand where there are many unaccompanied Burmese children who, without parental care and guidance, are at great risk of traffickers.  The projects allow these vulnerable children to attend school and provides a home for those without a place to stay.

As a busy mother of two children, Carol wanted to do something for those children who didn’t have the same comfortable home as her own family.  After reading an inspiring article, she set up her online jewellery shop selling bridal jewellery, cufflinks, and hair accessories for little girls.

All the jewellery is produced with stringent environmental standards and is sent out in beautiful gift boxes made from recycled materials.
