One of our newest editions to The Natural Wedding Company directory is a photographer from the North West of England called Mark Tattersall.
Just a glance at his website and you can tell he takes exquisite pictures, so I had to share this beautiful handmade vintage winter wedding he shot.
Marie and Karl were married in the Forest of Bowland and chose a personal, DIY approach to reflect their eco-conscious principles – delightfully combined with elegant, vintage and natural touches.
Their reception was held at an organic farm in a gorgeous 17th century barn with wood burning stove. Guests were treated to mulled wine, hot vimto and spiced biscuits made by Marie. Everything was served in a beautiful array of mis-matched vintage tea cups and saucers.
Marie designed the centrepieces for the tables using chunks of fallen wood set with vintage glass medicine bottles found at carboot sales, herbs in vintage clay pots and pretty vases of flowers that had been picked and dried over the year.
Charity shop finds such as sherry glasses were used as votives holding soy candles, and bunting was made locally using off-cuts from the bridesmaid’s dresses. Handmade paper birds that sat on the edge of the champagne glasses doubled up as place names.
They served soup and pie for the wedding feast followed by cupcakes made by the bride’s mum and auntie. Later in the evening Karl’s band (including the groomsmen) Super Johnny K and the Bang Bangs played a short set of vintage psyche n surf rock tunes.

Hi Dina, the dress is called Daven by Pronovias – I’m not sure if it’s still available but you could always try Ebay or one of the ‘worn once’ wedding dress websites like http://www.wornoncewithlove.co.uk.
