I truly can’t believe this time has come – March 2017, the month that I get to celebrate The Natural Wedding Company’s 10th Birthday with you all. And what a way I get to celebrate, with a month jam-packed with exclusive wedding offers from our fabulous suppliers just for you.
It doesn’t feel that long ago that I was just dreaming up the idea for the directory. I had little idea then that it would turn into a business that would become my ‘full time’ job. Just five years ago I was celebrating with a lovely group of girls in a spring party at my house. I’m even still really good friends with three of those girls – how amazing is that.
Here I am another five years on, and I’m delighted to share another month full of offers and goodies for you all.
Exclusive wedding offers
We’ve put together all these exclusive offers in this one handy blog post. I suggest you grab a cup of something warm and set aside some time to digest the wonderful offers we have. There are offers covering all areas of your wedding, from wedding photography to wedding venues, wedding flowers to wedding rings. And more!
You’ll also find all these offers on our main Offers webpage, just look out for the ‘special offer’ badge marking them out. These offers are time-limited and only available to claim during March 2017.
Win your wedding photography
For your diary – tomorrow morning we’ll be launching a very special birthday competition to win your wedding photography. This is such a wonderful offer coming from fabulous photography duo Bohemian Weddings. Full details will be on the blog tomorrow, and again, the end of March will be the closing date for entries.

Our 2016 Eco Christmas Gift Guide
It’s December and we want to help you with your gift searching with our eco Christmas gift guide. Samantha and I have been scouring the internet to bring you our favourite eco-chic finds – from gifts to decorations to wrapping.
You might think ‘not another Christmas gift guide’ but we promise ours is a bit special because all the items we’ve chosen have eco credentials, all come from UK based businesses (many of them small independent businesses), and we’ve kept the majority of items affordable with a few luxuries thrown in.
The items in our eco Christmas gift guide are handpicked by us because we feel they are truly worth sharing – they are not just what’s ‘on trend’ or cool this year. We’ve also included direct links to where you can buy the items to make it even simpler. So go dive in and support our ethical British businesses.
If you love a more rustic and natural Christmas style, then check out all blog archives for natural Christmas decorating ideas and DIY projects – my personal favourite being the DIY guide for making snowflakes from vintage doilies.

‘Grow the Love’ with these beautiful ideas for incorporating living flowers and plants into your wedding from Wedding in a Teacup
Today Hester from Wedding in a Teacup tells us about how to use living potted plants and greenery in weddings, rather than cut flowers. With some super helpful tips, it’s a must-read for any brides-to-be looking for quirky eco-chic ideas.
Over to Hester…
We love the idea of living flowers and greenery at a wedding. They look natural and informal and are a great way to add practical decoration, but more than that – there’s something about having something living on your day that is so wholly positive!
We like tables named after love-in-the-mist or sage, with pots and gardeners labels to mark them; tiny flower pots doubling as place markers and favours (check out our personalised labels created with these in mind); and an apple crate of herbs or flowers as a luscious table plan holder.
Wedding blogs, TNWC included, focus lots on the actual day, but when it’s all over there’s usually the business of thanking those who helped and who came along to share your celebrations with you.
When I spotted these new ‘Thank You Very Much’ postcards from TNWC business Wedding in a Teacup I was certain they would be a hit with a number of my readers. They combine a number of elements that are so popular here on this blog – beautiful brown card, luggage tags, and postcards.
The lovely Hester from Wedding in a Teacup is celebrating reaching 1,500 likes on Facebook by offering a fantastic 10% discount on all orders made before 31st October 2012.
Wedding in a Teacup stock a wide range of beautiful items, many of them handmade in the UK, eco-friendly or ethically sourced. There is also plenty of goodies for the creative couple, from ribbons to luggage tags. Hester’s also just launched a range of Christmas items, perfect even if you’re not planning a wedding.
To claim your 10% discount simply enter FACEBOOK10 in the promo code box at checkout. And don’t forget to check out the Wedding in Teacup Facebook page where you can keep up-to-date on the latest offers and products.
Here are some of my favourite items currently available over at Wedding in a Teacup:
These pretty handcrafted corn hearts, lover’s knots and horseshoes are the latest items available from the Wedding in a Teacup online shop – aren’t they beautiful? I am always at risk of over-using the word ‘natural’ here, but I do love how ‘natural’ these items are, and according to Hester from Wedding in a Teacup they have centuries of British rural tradition behind them.
If you’re planning an autumn wedding I can’t imagine many things more lovely than these to decorate your ceremony or reception venue with. In fact, it was my family church decorated for the harvest festival that inspired how I wanted the church to feel for our wedding – among other details, they used two big milk churns outside filled with dried corn, we used those same milk churns but filled with cow parsley for our wedding. You could also give them as wedding favours.
Wedding in a Teacup offers all kinds of beautiful details for a wedding with a handmade feel and they are offering an exclusive 15% discount on all items to readers of The Natural Wedding Company – you’ve got just two weeks to claim the discount so don’t delay!
From invitations to guestbooks, favours and table decorations, and a whole section for the crafty bride including ribbon, labels, and luggage tags – many which can be personalised for your wedding day. The lovely Hester who runs Wedding In A Teacup sources items wherever possible that are recycled or fair trade, like the pretty fair trade cotton pouches – perfect for wedding favours.
