Coming up this weekend TNWC wedding venue The House Meadow are holding an open weekend for all you lovely brides- and grooms-to-be out there who are looking for a beautiful meadow setting for your wedding day.

If you’re looking to get married in Kent, or if you’re on the hunt for that dream spot to say your vows beneath a tree in an English meadow, then you must get yourselves along this weekend to take a look at what The House Meadow has to offer.

The House Meadow is described as “country charm in its purest form.” It’s one of those special places that can be a completely blank (and rather stunning!) backdrop to enable you to create the wedding you want. The meadow is full of beautiful details, whilst remaining rustic – something that is so often difficult to find amongst wedding venues.

I am currently working on some improvements to the website and blog, which I am really excited about and hope to get ‘live’ soon. I’m hoping one of the those improvements will be a dedicated events pages where you can find out, all in one place, the brilliant events, open days, fairs, and workshops that TNWC businesses are hosting around the country.

In the meantime, with so many coming up in the couple of months I thought I’d do a round-up so you can see if there’s any that take your fancy.

Event in a Tent Open Weekend – Cheshire

Event in a Tent Open Weekend on Friday 22nd March 2013 from 3pm – 5pm, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March 2013 from 11am – 5pm at Delamere Forest.

Posh Frocks & Wellies Open Weekend in Cheshire on 19th and 20th January 2013

This weekend Posh Frocks & Wellies are holding an open weekend so that you can see their beautiful canvas marquees decorated with their selection of interiors and to talk to the team about your wedding day.

Whether you’re after a rustic country chic look or a festival feel, Posh Frocks & Wellies have the finishing touches to help bring your wedding dreams to life. I’ve been told that they are going to have set up their ‘Rose Garden’ theme and their new ‘Bohemian Dream’ theme plus a luxury bell tent to view.

As well as the canvas marquees and interiors, you will also be able to see examples of different furniture styles for your wedding breakfast, there will be lots of inspirations for table dressings with jugs of seasonal flowers and handmade place settings, plus vintage china and a vintage inspired sweetie table.

The Stunning Tents Company Open Weekend in Hampshire on 16th and 17th November 2012

The team from The Stunning Tents Company are opening their doors and welcoming you to their open weekend on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th November 2012. Situated in the middle of the Hampshire countryside, the team will have set up three Giant Hat tents and one Kungsörnen tent, all linked together and fully decorated with their range of furnishings.

World Inspired Tents Open Weekend in Devon on 27th and 28th October 2012

Tis’ the season for lovely wedding open days and weekends, especially if you are on the hunt for a giant tipi (or two) for your wedding venue. Luckily for you, wherever you’re getting married there is bound to be one near you. I recently shared details of these upcoming open weekends in Cheshire and Yorkshire, and now I’ve got one in Devon to tell you about.

World Inspired Tents, one of our lovely TNWC businesses, are returning to Darts Farm near Exter for their autumn open weekend on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October 2012.

Over the weekend, their team will be showcasing what it could be like to have a World Inspired Tents wedding or event – with three of their stunning Giant Hat tipis joined together, complete with a small chill out tipi, and all bedecked with wooden tables, benches, furnishings and log fires.

Event in a Tent Open Day at Delamere Forest on 12th, 13th and 14th October 2012

The lovely team from Event in a Tent are holding open days to see their magnificent range of tipis at Delamere Forest in Cheshire. Held over three days, it’s a wonderful opportunity to see their tipis set up and to chat about your wedding plans with a member from their team.

Their tents are based on the traditional tipis of the Sami people from Lapland, combining both modern and traditional techniques and materials to create these beautiful tipis, which are manufactured in Sweden. In addition to the Event in a Tent tipis, there will also be a number of other suppliers who might be able to help with your wedding plans.

PapaKata Autumn Open Weekend on 13th and 14th October 2012

Recently I welcomed PapaKåta to The Natural Wedding Company directory, they specialise in hiring out giant teepee tents for weddings and they’re holding an Autumn Open Weekend on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October 2012. Held at Escrick Park Estate near York, this open weekend will give you an opportunity to see the Kata tents in all their glory and ask the team questions.

PapaKåta are the most northly based of the giant teepee hire companies that are listed on the directory, so for all my couples who are getting married in the north of the country this is a fantastic opportunity to see these stunning tents set up. They are truly unique and magical spaces and, having been in them myself, I would highly recommend a visit if you are considering them for your wedding reception.

A wedding at fforest draws on the seasons and natural environment, you get to take over the whole camp, feast on homemade food and spend a weekend relaxing with your family and friends.

Join Hooe’s Yurts for an open day tea party on Saturday 7th April 2012 in Devon

Hooe’s Yurts is one of the latest additions to The Natural Wedding Company directory, so I was delighted to find out that they are holding a tea party open day next weekend to showcase their beautiful yurts to potential clients. In particular, they will be showcasing their newest addition – a stunning 44ft cathedral size yurt seating up to 120 people!

Now, I have been in a yurt that could seat up to 80 people and that was pretty impressive, so one for 120 must be incredible. What is so wonderful about yurts, even at this size, is that they are incredibly intimate and magical – I haven’t experienced many things so lovely as the meal I had in the 80 person yurt, it even inspired our wedding.
