It is ideal for weddings of us to 40 guests, and can be hired for the weekend, a short break, or just the day. Once you’ve hired the country house out you can do your own thing, which is fantastic for couples planning a DIY wedding. This also allows you to be a green and eco-friendly as you desire.
As a licensed venue for weddings and civil partnerships, you can get married on site in the Lounge or Galleried Dining Hall. Clive and Wendy, the owners of Hatswell Meadows can also provide a Devon cream tea (what a treat!), a West country wedding feast, or point you in the direction of Mr Hagget who can prepare you a hog roast!
It seems to me that having your wedding at Hatswell Meadows allows you to have a greater control of your budget whilst still enjoying the pleasures of a beautiful setting. It also looks like it has some amazing locations for photographs!
This wonderful wedding venue is also a treat in all seasons – “cosy warm in the winter months”, golden in Autumn, the spring garden is a “riot of colours” and in summer you can enjoy the rose garden in full bloom.
