Felt flower crowns for flower girls straight from the pages of Brambly Hedge and The Flower Fairies
We are huge advocates for real British grown cut flowers, but these sweet felt flower crowns for your little flower girls captured my heart. I first spotted them over on Instagram when Samantha at Proverbial Daisies tagged me in a post. I loved their soft muted colours, that they were handmade by a fellow mummy, and that they offered something a bit different.
Brambly Hedge meets The Flower Fairies
Handmade with love
Each flower is handcut from felt and stitched together to create a beautiful flower crown on a headband. Unlike a flower crown made from real flowers, these can be kept for years to come and would make a wonderful addition to a dressing up box. I completely agree with Samantha that a lot of their magic is in the colours, which are so pretty and timeless.
I think that Samantha has a wonderful eye for combining colours and textures, one look at her Instagram profile and the exquisite fairies she makes will show this – and her love for vintage trimmings and fabrics.
Flower crowns for your wedding
As a fellow mum, Samantha started expanding her business little by little after the birth of her daughter Elsie (seen here wearing the flower crowns). She can make the flower crowns in colours to fit with your wedding, and she can also make small posies with the felt or matching buttonholes for page boys if you wanted more coordinating items.
One of these is on my wishlist for my little Ottilie, at 2 and a half she is embarking into that magical world of make-believe and choosing what she wants to wear, I think she would love one.
Samantha also makes and sells cake topper peg dolls that she paints by hand, and fairies that are just so magical – even a bride fairy made from exquisite vintage fabrics. Go visit her Etsy shop Proverbial Daisies to see all her creations.
If like Samantha you think you have products or services that you think we’d love because they fit with our ethos or style, then do drop me an email or tag me in your social media posts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) – we are always keen to hear from you.
