Quality time: a little update on where I’ve been

Peloponnese, Greece

I don’t often add too many personal posts on here, but I wanted to share a quick update on what I’ve been up to over the past 10 days.  Mr Rigg and I have been away on the most lovely holiday to a part of Greece called the Peloponnese, it’s been blissfully warm (about 25°C most days) and we’ve been spoilt with excellent food.

Most of all we’ve had a chance to unwind from our respective jobs and spend some quality time together – don’t you find yourself realising on holiday how much you’ve not had that time together? Not really at any rate, you might eat dinner together every night, cuddle up on the sofa, even chatter in bed with each other.  But more than ever this holiday I’ve realised those times aren’t quite the same as having 10 days completely to yourselves.

If you follow me on Facebook you might have seen that I haven’t completely disconnected from work – I have been updating Facebook and Twitter each day with a link to what’s been on the blog. Perhaps that means I didn’t completely disconnect from work, but I really love what I do.

I really want to share details with you all about the wonderful hotel we stayed at because I think it might be of interest as a honeymoon spot to some of you, so I will try and get some information and a couple of pictures onto the blog in the coming weeks.

So, if staying at the most relaxing and beautiful hotel set on a hillside, amongst olive groves, with a breathtaking view of the sea and excellent food sounds like you’re idea of a lovely honeymoon, keep an eye out on the blog!

What have you been up to over the past week?  I trust everyone’s getting into the autumn spirit as it certainly seems to have arrived here in England since we’ve been away?
