Back at the beginning of April I ran a competition in conjunction with Catkin Flowers to win a place on an upcoming (and exclusive to The Natural Wedding Company) cut flower growing and arranging course. The very lucky Nik won the competition, but for those of you still keen to come there are an additional 8 places now available.
If you’d like to join myself, Nik, and Rachel from Catkin Flowers for a lovely day of learning how you can start your own cut flower garden and how to arrange with homegrown flowers, then read on…
Who’s the workshop for?
Have you ever dreamt of starting your own small cut flower garden? A little patch where you can pick your own, homegrown flowers to put in bunches around your house? Have you ever dreamt of learning how to arrange them in pretty bouquets, perhaps to give as gifts to family, or maybe for yours or a friends wedding?
If you answered yes to any of those then we’d love you join us on this workshop. It’s also a great opportunity for readers of The Natural Wedding Company to get together for a fun day with like-minded people – whether you are married, engaged or just a lover of seasonal cut flowers.
What will we do?
Rachel from Catkin Flowers will start the day by sharing her top tips on how to start a cutting garden, including a tour of her own cutting garden. There will be a delicious 2-course lunch at the Doddington Hall restaurant, before we find out how to make a hand-tied bouquet and buttonhole, and finally creating our own.
You’ll also get to take your bouquet and buttonhole home with you.
When and where is the workshop?
The workshop is taking place on Wednesday 4th July from 10am – 4pm at the Catkin Flowers HQ at Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire. It’s about 20 minutes from both Newark Northgate and Lincoln stations, pick-up may be possible, just enquire when booking your place.
Who’s leading the workshop?
The workshop is being hosted by the lovely Rachel Petheram who runs Catkin Flowers. She grows her own English, seasonal flowers and foliage in her cutting garden that she arranges for weddings and events.
Charlie (that’s me!) from The Natural Wedding Company will also be there, taking part in the workshop and no doubt chattering a lot!
How much does it cost?
This exclusive workshop for The Natural Wedding Company has been discounted to £50 per place (usually £70). This includes all materials, a 2 course lunch, and you get to take home your bouquet and buttonhole.
Fab! How do I book my place?
There are only 8 places available on the workshop, so please get your booking form in soon to avoid disappointment. To book your place, simply download the booking form, fill in your details and email it to charlie@thenaturalweddingcompany.co.uk.
Once we’ve received your booking form we’ll confirm your place is secured by email and you’ll need to send your payment. Please wait for confirmation that you have a place before sending payment. Payment is by cheque or Paypal, full details are on the booking form.
When your booking has been confirmed we’ll send you full details on how to get there and what you need to bring. Rachel and I can’t wait to meet you!
