Sabina Motasem 2012 wedding dress collection

If you’ve got engaged over the Christmas break then one of the first things you might be thinking about is your wedding dress – I know I certainly was concerned about what it would look like and where I would find it.  One of the lovely businesses from the directory, Sabina Motasem Bride, has just launched a beautiful new collection for 2012 so I wanted to share some of these beautiful dresses with you.

Sabina Motasem Bride is a London based label creating understated and vintage inspired wedding dresses, and for the eco-conscious or ethical bride you can be sound in the knowledge that they are ethically produced in the UK and can be made from peace silks.  What’s even better is they offer a fantastic service to transform your wedding dress after your big day into a cocktail dress that you can wear again.

Sabina Motasem Bride Colette wedding dress

I have started with my absolute favourite from the new collection – the Colette wedding dress here worn with a French corded lace bodice.  It is just so elegant but feminine and pretty with the capped sleeves and lace detailing.

The Colette is a strapless, stretch duchess satin wedding dress, with a fishtail shape skirt and train.  You can either keep it simple or accessorise it like above, with a matching shrug or a beaded belt.

Sabina Motasem Bride Josephine wedding dress

The Josephine is a backless wedding dress with a draped cowl neck and is made from a luxurious heavy crepe.  It is available in ivory, vintage cream and soft pink – beautiful if you want something a little different from the traditional white wedding dress.  It also reminds me of Pippa Middleton’s dress worn at the Royal Wedding.

Sabina Motasem Bride Yvette wedding dress

The Yvette features the ever-popular 1950s knee-length wedding dress with full skirt.  It is also available with a petticoat to make for an even fuller skirt (as you can see above), and can be accessorised with a French corded lace bodice or shrug.

The wedding dresses from Sabina Motasem Bride are so versatile and I love how one dress can look so different with just tiny changes – like the Yvette dress, which without the petticoat and lots of accessories is understated and I think would look beautiful with a garland of flowers worn in your hair.

Sabina Motasem Bride Emillienne wedding dress

My final favourite from the new collection is the Emillienne dress with its beaded Georgette butterfly sleeves and beaded panelling.  It has the look and feel of an older era dress, which are some of my favourites.

For all of the wedding dresses you can select alternative details like different necklines, sleeves, colours and accessories.  A sample collection is available to view during appointments at their Islington studio in London and is priced between £900 – £1750.  To book an appointment contact Sabina at mail@motasem.co.uk or visit www.motasem.co.uk for more details.
