It is so wonderful being allowed to share other handmade wedding projects from my readers.  Today’s exquisitely created ‘save the dates’ are made a Creative Designer, so those of us looking at them thinking ‘I wish I could be that creative on the computer’ – this lady is skilled and talented and it’s what she does for a living.

Jess, the bride-to-be, used a badge maker to create the front of the magnets, and attached a magnet to the back.  I love this idea that your family and friends can stick it onto their fridge at home to remind them.

On top of making the magnets, Jess also designed and made the packaging!  She bought the card and other materials from Hobbycraft – don’t they look sweet all parceled up?

Jess is also going to make a sticker version for those guests that are just coming to the evening party – the idea is that they’ll be able to stick them into their new 2012 diaries.  Very clever.

Now I know they might not be the most eco-friendly option, and this blog has strong links to being as natural and good for the environment as possible, so it got me thinking.  My ever trusty resource Eco-Craft sell biodegradable clear display bags, so you could use these instead of the standard ones.

You could also easily source recycled card, and well the magnets – hopefully people will continue to use them as useful everyday objects well after your wedding day.  If they look this pretty I’m sure they might.
