It’s founder, Henrietta Askew, has always been passionate about China, and after a year living in Beijing she returned to the UK to set up Mai Pearls.

In Chinese, “Mai Pearls” literally means “to trade pearls”, with each piece of jewellery handmade by a small group of mainland Chinese women using freshwater cultured pearls.
