Beautiful eco gowns from Conscious Elegance

I was delighted to hear from one of our eco wedding directory businesses about their new collection of eco-friendly wedding dresses.  Lori, a third generation dressmaker, is the designer and director of Conscious Elegance who create beautiful eco-friendly wedding dresses and bridal wear.

For those of you who are also on the hunt for co-ordinating bridesmaid dresses or groomswear, look no further.  “We want to offer options to the entire wedding party,” says Lori, who creates pretty bridesmaid dresses for all ages and ties and cravats for the men at your wedding.  Lori’s hand-sewn ties would also double up as excellent gifts for your best man and ushers.

Conscious Elegance is a Durham-based business that employs local seamstresses to create your wedding gown.  They are also happy to change small details like adding straps or adjusting a train at no extra cost.

You can also order their eco-friendly fabric by the metre, ideal if you are a DIY bride who wants to make her own dress.  “Everyone should have the dress they want; we’re happy to help even if we aren’t doing the sewing.”
