We are a small, family run, eco-minded venue with our own two tipis nestled in our wild-flower conservation farm. We are passionate about sharing our affordable family run venue with warmth, integrity and creativity. Wild space with people at its core.
Nestling within 150 acres of wildflower meadows and woodland, Coppins Farm Weddings is a beautiful and peaceful intimate venue, right on the Essex/Suffolk border.
Countryside and ancient woodland create the setting of this tranquil nature farm with our meadow tipis and woodland ceremony nestled at its heart.
The farm on which the venue is located is classed as a wildlife and wild flower reserve and is home to 57 different species of birds, wild deer, badgers and numerous wildflowers.
The venue consists of two giant hat tipis, set within one of the farm’s wildflower meadows, and a serene woodland ceremony area with a stream for a personal or humanist blessing.
Our woodland ceremony area is reached by a meandering pathway which takes you through the trees to our sloped, natural amphitheatre with a ceiling of tree canopy and a stream that wraps around three sides.
Species of trees found in our little woodland ceremony area include Oak, Alder and Hawthorn which. A marriage under an Oak is thought to foretell a strong union that will endure and bless the couple with wisdom. In ancient times, Alder symbolised strength in unions and Hawthorn, love and protection.
Cocooned in greenery, this space is a magical place to share your vows. Our babbling brook and the birds will serenade your ceremony. Guests are seated on rustic bench seating.
Access to the site is excellent with good links from London and a train station nearby. There is also a small parking area.
Sustainability and caring for the environment have always been at the heart of Coppin Farm.
We are proud to boast 150 acres of diverse and sensitively managed wildlife habitat and an eco-minded approach to our green venue that enables your event to be low impact and enjoyed in an unspoiled natural setting.
Wood and canvas, non permanent structures house our events, our venue is made up almost entirely of renewable, sustainable or recycled materials.
Our prop shop reduces the need to buy lots of items and doesn’t require the need to transport hired items, minimising fuel miles and the impact of your wedding on the environment.
