Lebrusan Studio is a leading ethical jewellery brand specialising in engagement rings, wedding bands and unique bespoke commissions. Its distinctive pieces are lovingly Created in the UK by skilled Hatton Garden craftspeople, using time-honoured craft techniques and a range of sustainable materials; including Fairmined Ecological Gold, artisanal Ocean Diamonds, reclaimed old-cut diamonds and a selection of other recycled metals and gemstones. Its aim is to create jewellery that is both small in environmental impact and significant in its socioeconomic benefits, advocating for both ends of the sustainability spectrum to be valued equally and considered in harmony when creating and consuming.
Behind Lebrusan Studio’s unique jewels is Arabel Lebrusan; leading artist, award-winning jewellery designer and, as one of the world’s first ever Fairtrade Gold licensees, a key founder of the ethical jewellery movement. With over fifteen years of experience in jewellery design and a list of accolades under her belt – including the NAJ’s Jewellery Designer of the Year 2022 Award – Lebrusan is a multifaceted artist who specialises in creating timeless heirloom pieces that will be cherished by generations to come. Her creations uphold a distinctive mix of cultural, historical and aesthetic inspirations.
The Lebrusan Studio team pride themselves on a highly personalised service, with private consultations encouraged. Communication throughout the production process is regular and thorough, and each jewel carries a unique and traceable backstory story. Every piece is delivered with a special certificate of provenance, offering a fascinating insight into its material origins and manufacturing journey.
As members of the historic London Diamond Bourse in Hatton Garden, a member of Lebrusan Studio’s Design & Customer Service Team is available by appointment there every Wednesday. Alternatively, the brand also offers appointments at the St. Augustine’s Centre in Brighton on the occasional Saturday morning.
As one the very first Fairtrade Gold licensees, we use only ethically sourced conflict-free materials. We look at all options available to us to find the most socially, environmentally and culturally responsible sources so we can offer our customers jewellery that is beautiful both inside and out, and most importantly, help make this world a better place.
Our jewellery is produced using only sustainable metals. This means the precious material is mined without causing damage to our planet or life; in contrast to open pit gold mining in many developing countries where cyanide is used to blast the rock and which later runs into the water, poisoning marine life. By choosing Fairtrade gold, you make a real difference to small scale artisan miners, their families and communities, by providing them with financial security as well as decent working conditions. They also receive additional funding for education, health or environmental projects that further improves their lives.
