Ethica Diamonds

Our lab-grown stones and diamonds offer a kinder alternative to mined diamonds. We spent the first 5 years of our business educating and teaching people that there is a better way of purchasing jewellery that is genuinely meaningful. Where materials used are sustainable, practices that are not harmful and pricing is fair.The growing process of our stones does not endanger any of its workers and has a much lesser impact on the environment,  releasing significantly less greenhouse emissions, water and air pollution.  We are mindful of choosing growers that are committed to using renewable energy to offset their carbon emissions and some go as far as being carbon negative.

We use part- recycled or Fairtrade precious metals wherever possible in our fine jewellery, as part of our commitment to being environmentally responsible, and we are a Fairtrade Foundation registered jeweller. We use recycled metals to decrease the global demand for newly mined metals, as this will diminish the environmentally and socially destructive effects of dirty gold and other metal mining practices.

Our standard Jewellery boxes are crafted with cardboard sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests. This means that 70% of the materials origin from well-managed, FSC-certified forests and a maximum of 30% from recycled materials and other controlled sources to protect the forests for future generations. Forever Boxes, crafted from responsibly sourced solid wood from FSC certified forests. Our tissue paper and stickers and mail bags are from No Issue, an eco packaging company committed to using recycled materials and offsetting their carbon emissions.

We are always looking for ways to support and give back to our community, paticularly in our beautiful home of Cornwall.Starting within our own team, all our employees are paid above the living wage and we are an official living wage employer. As of October 2022, we are members of 1% for the planet.Founded to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability. The 1% for the Planet certification is given to businesses and individuals that meet our high-bar commitment—donate 1% of annual sales or salary to environmental causes.

Our Ethica Diamonds website has been hosted by Solve Web Media since 2019. Solve are a certified B corporation – the highest standard of social and environmental impact and our website runs on 100% renewable energy through them.
