Lilac and Lace Floral Design
British grown wedding flowers with a warm, natural, effortless style
Who are we...
Hello, I am Rebecca, the florist and flower grower behind Lilac and Lace Floral Design. I love working with my couples to create stunningly beautiful seasonal wedding flowers in the most sustainable way possible. I am passionate about using locally grown and grow a lot of flowers myself, ready to pop into your arrangements to give them the serious wow factor.
I started Lilac and Lace Floral Design back in 2016 with the aim of creating sensational wedding flowers. Flowers bring such joy, they evoke wonderful memories and their beauty is often unrivalled in nature. I am honestly at my happiest with a bucket of blooms, a pair of scissors and a wonderfully creative brief. The feeling I get when I bring something to life that only previously existed in someone’s imagination is beyond words.
My style is warm and personal, natural and effortless – I always want my designs to look like they have just fallen together. I love to use lots of different textures and exquisite scent. There is something so romantic about the idea that a couple could be instantly taken back to their wedding day by the sight or scent of a flower that they simply brush past.
I would love to create wedding flowers for you that are exquisitely beautiful and kind to the environment too. I use locally grown or British flowers wherever possible and grow my own at my Little Warden plot.
I will celebrate the beauty of every stem and petal, and take away as many of the stresses that wedding planning can often create, with my above and beyond service. I aim to make finding a wedding florist as enjoyable, straightforward and easy as possible for you.
Lilac and Lace Floral Design has nature and the world around us at its very heart. I worked in meteorology for 10 years and studied climatology too, so feel empowered to make a positive impact.
I promise to use my knowledge for good by making it as easy as possible for you to make sustainable choices for your wedding day. Does that mean you have to compromise? Absolutely not! Locally grown flowers are beyond exquisite with untamed natural beauty unlike the impossibly straight stems of imported flowers. They are very much night and day, and I just love to celebrate the shear gorgeousness of wonky stems or twiddly tendrils that only locally grown can bring.
I am very proud to be the first florist in the country to achieve a Sustainability Accreditation with the Sustainable Wedding Alliance and hope by sharing my commitment to inspire you to consider the ways that you too can leave as smaller footprint as possible. Weddings do not need to cost the earth, whether that be financially or environmentally, and I can help guide you every step of the way to give you the day of your dreams.

“Rebecca provides the ultimate personal service. Her communication was great and her commitment to sustainability is what impressed me most and initially made me reach out. This aspect of Rebecca’s work carried through to her hire service so we could return items at the end of the wedding, and a BEAUTIFUL array of seasonal, locally sourced flowers and foliage that really elevated the atmosphere and aesthetic of our day.” – Laura and Steve, July 2023
“Rebecca’s sustainable approach using seasonal locally grown flowers was a perfect fit for our wedding and meant many of our guests were able to take flowers and plants home as a memento of the day. We would highly recommend Lilac and Lace Floral Design without hesitation.” – Bethan and Mike, August 2023
“Where to begin? I came across Rebecca’s page online as we were preparing for our wedding in June 2022. I felt that Rebecca’s combination of passion and commitment to the environment really stood out. Our initial conversation, which was done remotely, showed I had picked the best of the best for our wedding day. Rebecca listened to everything I had in mind for A Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding and added to it with her own ideas that made me even more excited. I envisioned woodland flowers and lots of purples. The design proposal was so carefully put together that we’ve had it printed as a keep sake. The communication up until the wedding day was great and if there was a change or a worry – Rebecca was right back with solutions and reassurance. What Rebecca created on our wedding day at Marleybrook house was beautiful – I couldn’t have asked for a better florist. I fell in love with the tree and the bouquets and she even managed to get hold of forget-me-not as a tribute to those who couldn’t be there with us. Rebecca also made sure that a lot of the plants we had could be put in our garden after or given to guests – this was a fab idea and my husband is over the moon that we have a constant memory of the day in our garden and we now have resident bees! If you are looking for a creative, talented and passionate, eco-conscious florist for your special day – do not hesitate at all. Rebecca is definitely the person for you – I only wish I could redo the day over and over to admire Rebecca’s work over and over.” – Carla and Aaron, June 2022
Charlie Says...
“Rebecca has a beautiful style and way with the British and locally grown blooms she weaves her wedding arrangements from. I’m particularly impressed by her transparency of sourcing – in her portfolio of weddings she states what percentage of the flowers were local versus imported.”
