Lilac and Lace Floral Design has nature and the world around us at its very heart. I worked in meteorology for 10 years and studied climatology too, so feel empowered to make a positive impact.

I promise to use my knowledge for good by making it as easy as possible for you to make sustainable choices for your wedding day. Does that mean you have to compromise? Absolutely not! Locally grown flowers are beyond exquisite with untamed natural beauty unlike the impossibly straight stems of imported flowers. They are very much night and day, and I just love to celebrate the shear gorgeousness of wonky stems or twiddly tendrils that only locally grown can bring.

I am very proud to be the first florist in the country to achieve a Sustainability Accreditation with the Sustainable Wedding Alliance and hope by sharing my commitment to inspire you to consider the ways that you too can leave as smaller footprint as possible. Weddings do not need to cost the earth, whether that be financially or environmentally, and I can help guide you every step of the way to give you the day of your dreams.

Supporting Your Celebration: Hire & Rewards

I firmly believe that weddings shouldn’t cost the earth – neither financially nor environmentally. To support my couples, I offer two unique schemes designed to promote circularity.

The Décor Hire Collection
To prevent the need for my couples to make unnecessary (and often costly) purchases, I offer a wide range of décor items for hire at no additional cost. This includes bud vases, urns, candle holders, footed bowls, wooden boxes, and our wooden or metal moon arch frames. All I ask for is a refundable Breakages Deposit, which I hold whilst my items are out on hire at your wedding and is refunded on their safe return.

The Founder’s Reward Scheme
To celebrate our shared commitment to nature and British grown flowers, I offer two rewards for couples:

The British Flowers Reward | As a champion of the UK flower industry, I offer an ethical incentive to couples choosing our Full Wedding Flower Styling To celebrate this choice, I include up to three complimentary Buttonholes for your wedding party (a value of £52.50) as my gift to you.

The Closing-the-Loop Reward | Commit to return at least 75% of your foliage and flowers (alongside your hire items) to our Design Studio in Orpington for composting after your wedding. In return, receive 3 litres of handmade dried petal confetti for your guests.

“Where to begin? I came across Rebecca’s page online as we were preparing for our wedding in June 2022. I felt that Rebecca’s combination of passion and commitment to the environment really stood out. Our initial conversation, which was done remotely, showed I had picked the best of the best for our wedding day. Rebecca listened to everything I had in mind for A Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding and added to it with her own ideas that made me even more excited.
