Who are we...
I’m Nina, the person behind Moss and Moon. Inspired by the natural world & the rhythms that shape our lives. I aim to create ceremonies that honour these natural rhythms, celebrating life’s special moments in a thoughtful, grounded, and environmentally conscious way.
Moss and Moon reflects two elements of nature that symbolise what I value most. Moss represents renewal, resilience and the quiet way life returns and thrives, even in the most unexpected places. The Moon reminds us of the natural ebb and flow of life – the cycles of growth, change, reflection and renewal that shape all our journeys, including love and partnership.
I am fiercely, yet quietly, dedicated to nature and to helping people realise their dreams. As a rare-breed shepherdess, I live and breathe the natural world and the rhythms that Mother Nature asks us to work with. This connection inspires the ceremonies I create and my passion for helping couples shape meaningful, joyful beginnings for their future together.
I am a fully trained celebrant, having completed a residential course with the International College of Professional Celebrants. My professional background also includes media training, giving me extensive experience in writing, public speaking and working with large audiences. These skills allow me to craft thoughtful, personal ceremonies and deliver them with warmth and confidence.
Alongside my celebrant work, I run a rare-breed smallholding with sheep, pigs and chickens and have a deep love for the Yorkshire Dales and rural life. I work closely with couples to create authentic, memorable ceremonies that reflect their personalities, values and shared story—whether traditional, contemporary or completely unique.
At Moss and Moon, sustainability sits at the heart of everything we do.
I am committed to creating products that respect both nature and the people who use them.
Wherever possible, I choose responsibly sourced materials, minimise waste, and prioritise environmentally conscious packaging.
My approach is rooted in small-batch production and thoughtful design, helping to reduce excess and ensure each item is made with care and purpose.
I believe that beautiful, useful products should not come at the expense of the planet, and we continuously look for ways to improve our practices.
Moss and Moon is about slowing down, choosing well, and treading lightly on the earth.
