TogetherNess – Creative Weddings in Wales

Award-winning eco ethical wedding planners

Who are we...

Hello, I’m Ness. I specialise in alternative, sustainable and totally inspiring weddings in the Breathtakingly Beautiful Welsh Landscape. I am a perfectionist, and a lover of details, schedules, understated style, celebrations, and bringing people together.

Welcome to TogetherNess Weddings! Established in 2015, we are award-winning experts in the wedding industry.

Inspired by the wild and beautiful landscapes of Wales, we are passionate about creating naturally elegant, meaningful events with a sustainable twist.

We specialise in planning modern weddings in dry-hire venues, barns, marquees and tipis. We work with Wales’ most inspired, innovative and ethical suppliers to support you in creating an event that reflects your values and is completely you.

Every event we plan is a new adventure. We thrive on the diversity of ideas, challenges, inspiration, and new friendships that come with every wedding, and we revel in the opportunity to give couples the space to laugh, love, and truly enjoy the process.

Whether you’re dreaming of a festival-style wedding weekend with hundreds of guests, an intimate elopement in a secluded Welsh location, or anything in between, my incredibly dedicated team and I are committed to bringing the wedding you’ve imagined for years to life.

Having grown up on an organic smallholding with the Black Mountains and rolling Welsh countryside on my doorstep, I have always loved this incredibly beautiful part of the world and had a passion for preserving it.

Below is a list of everything our little company is currently doing to work towards a more sustainable future in the events industry, we are always looking at what we can improve on and pledge to keep sustainability at the heart of all our decision making.

  • Office
We use 100% green electricity to power our office.
  • Our office is based in my little rural Welsh cottage, reducing the need to travel to work and heat a further space.
  • We source 100% recycled printer paper and keep our printing to an absolute minimum.
  • Everything in our office, from furniture and furnishings to lighting, computers, phones and even intrays are either vintage, pre-loved finds or reconditioned items. We have a very strong “don’t buy new” policy.
  • All our banking is with Triodos Bank who only make investments that have a positive impact on society and the environment.
  • Our Cloud provider uses 100% green energy.
  • We stick to online marketing only, avoiding flyers, posters or any excessive printing or waste.
  • We use all-natural products for cleaning our spaces and our stock, our storage containers are all made from recycled plastic and our business benefits from all the sustainable living choices my household has made.
  • For every new couple we work with we make a donation to our two favourite tree planting charities JUST ONE TREE & TREES FOR CITIES
  1. Events
We only cover Wales to minimise travel (and it’s so beautiful here why would we need to go any further!).
  2. We also keep our suppliers local to reduce any unnecessary travel.
  3. We locally hire in everything we need from decor to napkins, meaning nothing is single-use.
  4. If we are looking for something that we can’t hire we always source pre-loved.
  5. Imported and heavily sprayed flowers are bad news on so many levels. We work with local florists who grow their flowers in Pembrokeshire and share our green ethos. If they don’t have everything we need, they buy in chemical-free blooms from other UK growers.
  6. We make careful choices with our floristry displays, opting to always have our flowers in water in repurposed vessels whenever possible. Oasis is a massive cause of plastic pollution, as are all the little plastic tube alternatives used for floral installations, but we are also aware that moss takes many years to grow and, if treated as a disposable product, is not a sustainable solution. For high displays, we have a selection of reusable bases that we have made using chicken wire and responsibly sourced moss from the UK. Over winter all our moss bases live outside where the moss thrives and is fresh for a new season.
  7. We do our best to make sure flowers are enjoyed for as long as possible by sending them home with friends and family and we compost all our green waste.
  8. From string to pins, floristry wire and tape we choose natural materials and avoid any plastics.
  9. We separate all our rubbish onsite and recycle.
  10. We do everything we can to make sure there is as little waste as possible at every event.
  11. When making supplier selections ourselves we work with companies who share in our ethos and source local produce.
  12. From rings to honeymoons, we offer advice and inspiration to couples on how they can make less impactful choices.

“Togetherness is a whirlwind of creativity, initiative and vision. In the build up to our big day it was slightly overwhelming just how big the task in hand was, Ness really took the bull by the horns, transforming our 80ft by 40ft marquee into a stunning venue for our reception, very hard working, efficient & great multi tasking skills. Ness really took the pressure off our shoulders and made a really amazing contribution to the best day of our life.” – Will

“Ness was like this wedding fairy that I knew we needed but didn’t know where to find. She was so unphased by all the aspects that I was totally overwhelmed by, taking our wedding stress in her calm stride. She had a wonderful aesthetic vision and had a realistic idea of how long things would take. She worked so hard over the weekend, and had a great ability to check out certain things with us and take initiative on others. Thanks again Ness.” – Caro

“Ness is incredible and we couldn’t have organised our wedding without her. We got married in Plas Dinam in August and Ness helped us organise the full day.

Her organised approach to wedding planning and attention to detail took a lot of the stress out of the big day for me- from providing us with props, helping with schedules and table plans, liaising with the venue around logistics, being there to support us on site the day before, helping us craft our flower wreathes and set up the venue, helping with designing and styling the tables on the day (which looked soooo good and all the guests comments on this!), setting out smores and wood fires for our evening guests, liaising with our suppliers, and much much more.

Every little thing was thought about- things I would have never considered, which was wonderful. It’s hard to put in words how grateful we were for the support, Ness made sure our wedding day turned out perfect without a glitch! Everything went so smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing.

We cannot recommend her highly enough, and were blown away by all the effort she put in. Thank you SO MUCH Ness!” – Donna and Rob

“Ness was an amazing and integral part of our wedding planning right from the start. She fully consulted us on what we wanted on our day and offered her own unique and creative ideas to match our vision.

Ness sourced decorations and flowers for us, liaised with venue staff, set up decorations in the hall and marquee, and even arranged all the flowers and made our bouquets. She took all the stress out of the planning so that I could fully enjoy the lead up to the wedding and the day itself without any stress or worries of my own! Ness ensured the day went off without a hitch, and I was completely blown away with all her efforts and the end result.” – Sally

“I cannot put in to words how thankful I am that I found Ness. I can honestly say that our wedding day would never have turned out as perfect as it did if wasn’t for her amazing organisation, creativity and attention to detail.

When I started planning our wedding, I naively thought I could do everything myself but I totally underestimated how much there is to do! From the very first conversation we had, Ness totally put me at ease and I knew I could trust her implicitly to help me make our vision a reality. Ness was there to reign me in when I got carried away, but she always made sure that we didnt have to compromise on our dream wedding.

Through her network of suppliers she was able to source me the most beautiful wild flowers which she even arranged for us the day before the wedding. All of our guests commented on how wonderful they looked.

On the day of the wedding, I was able to totally relax and enjoy the day. I can honestly say I didn’t have a care in the world as I knew Ness had it all under control and the day was just perfect.

Thank you Ness for helping us to achieve our Wedstock wedding we both dreamed of. Its clear to see that you love what you do by the care and thoughtfulness you put into it and in turn, we loved having you to share our day with us. She is quite literally an angel. We love you!” – Lauren and Barry

“From the beginning Ness was a positive force, she listened to our vision (and teased out what that vision was!) and led us through all the tasks required to plan.

Ness was incredibly organised and detailed, made us less stressed, talked us through our biggest decisions and pushed us to get those out of the way early on. She also recommended and came with a number of amazing suppliers that we used for our wedding day (Emma and her homegrown flowers were a huge highlight!) and that aligned with the aesthetic and ethics we wanted.

As we got closer to the date, Ness was a great stress relief as we were able to trust her with the many small decisions whilst being guided through the bigger ones – she took the reins when needed but always kept us in the loop and as involved as we wanted to be.

Thanks to Ness, our wedding day was more beautiful and seamless than we ever imagined!!” – Sian and Sam
