Rusty Lime is a sustainable wedding planning business built on a simple belief: every couple deserves a beautiful day that does right by the planet — without jargon, guilt, or greenwashing. Behind Rusty Lime is Katie — a sustainability and events professional. Rusty Lime was born from planning her sister’s wedding at three months’ notice, and discovering first-hand just how overwhelming sustainable planning can be. She built the business to do that hard work for you.

- Wedded to Sustainability is the full planning experience, from first consultation to your wedding day — taken on with only a small handful of couples each year to ensure a truly bespoke service.

Katie holds a Geography degree from Cambridge and a Masters in Environment and Development, with 8+ years working across sustainability and high-level events — including UN climate conferences — meaning every recommendation is evidence-based, not trend-led.
Practically, this means sourcing local, seasonal, chemical-free flowers; planning organic menus that tackle food waste (10% of wedding food is typically thrown away); and championing circular fashion — second-hand bridesmaid dresses tailored to fit, rented suits, and wedding gowns repurposed as lasting keepsakes.
Rusty Lime also advises on venues with renewable energy and no single-use plastics, and helps reduce carbon footprints across catering, décor, and guest travel. Because truly sustainable planning means making choices that work for your values, your style, and your budget — and Katie will always meet you where you are, honest about options, flexible on priorities, and completely preach-free.
