Who are we...
I’m Sal, founder of Little Loop Embroidery, and hand-embroidery is my absolute favourite thing! I design and make beautiful keepsakes for your wedding day, including hand-embroidered artwork of your wedding flowers.
I’m Sal, and I personally hand-embroider everything that Little Loop Embroidery sells. Each item is designed and made to order just for you, and I love including all those little details that make your wedding unique – the stories behind the orders are the best part of my job!
If you order one of my Wedding Bouquet Keepsakes, I’ll work from photos to recreate your wedding bouquet as a beautiful hand-embroidered piece of art, complete with your wedding date and/or your names. I offer several different sizes and layouts and I’m always happy to chat about your particular requests. It’s a wonderful way to preserve and display your wedding flowers in all their glory, and it makes a gorgeous gift for newlyweds and wedding anniversaries alike.
Another of my wedding bestsellers, my Personalised Bridal Cosmetic Bags are available as ‘something blue’ (a perfect day-of gift from friends and family, especially filled with all her favourite essentials) or in cream, both made from control union certified organic cotton. Each one is hand-embroidered with a name (married name, nickname, ‘Bride’ – you choose) and a detailed miniature of the wedding flowers. If you’re ordering ahead of the big day, you can let me know what the flowers are going to be and I can design a bouquet, or I can create an arrangement based on the happy couple’s birth flowers or other meaningful blooms.
As a one-person business, making everything to order by hand, Little Loop Embroidery is as close to zero-waste as I can make it (and I’m always trying to improve). Offcuts of fabric are saved as stuffing for the keepsake hearts I make and donate to my local hospital, and my collection of embroidery silk offcuts is both extensive and frequently used (you never know when you might need that little leftover bit of a particular colour).
My Wedding Bouquet Keepsakes are hand sewn on natural unbleached calico and presented in a bamboo embroidery hoop, and offer a low-impact alternative to lots of mainstream wedding bouquet preservation options. To make my Personalised Bridal Cosmetic Bags, I hand embroider onto plain cosmetic bags bought from from Earth Wardrobe, an innovative company that works to offer affordable basics without compromising their standards. The bags I use are made from control union certified organic cotton in facilities that participate in ethical manufacturing programs.
