I have missed sharing some of my favourite finds from other wedding blogs, but am determined to get more of them back here on the blog for you. I had to share some pictures from this beautiful New Zealand beach wedding where the bride wore a stunning brown dress.
It’s so lovely and refreshing to see gorgeous alternatives to a white wedding dress, and I would have never imagined how lovely a brown wedding dress could look until I spotted this wedding. I also love how the bridesmaids wore mismatched white dresses.
The flowers from this wedding are also exquisite – not having any knowledge of native New Zealand flowers and foliage I can’t tell whether they are native nor seasonal, but they look like they should be.
For a while now I’ve been squirreling away images specifically for this blog post, which if you are looking for something a bit different in your wedding bouquet or your wedding flowers in general might provide some inspiration. Grass. Yes, really, I haven’t gone mad – I think grass (not the stuff from your lawn) can look utterly beautiful in wedding flowers, and I set out to prove this by collecting some utterly gorgeous examples.
Whether dried and paired with deep coloured flowers and a bright pop of yellow…
Soft and green and paired with blousy peonies and hedgerow flowers…
Featured prominently in a ‘height-of-summer’ bouquet with a scattering of bright prairie style flowers..
Just came across these lovely bespoke eco-friendly wedding stationery from Artcadia. I love the brown kraft paper and card use and the typewriter style text – although beautifully designed and made they have that homemade feel to them.
