Who are we...
I’m Tom Keenan, a luxury wedding photographer based in Kent, known for relaxed documentary storytelling and natural editorial portraits. My work blends authenticity with a refined style, creating timeless images that capture the real moments of a wedding day.
Tom Keenan Photography’s approach to wedding photography is rooted in friendly observation rather than direction or fly on the wall. Most of the day is photographed quietly alongside you and your friends and family, allowing real moments to be captured as they happen without interruption. The focus is always on people and relationships, styled and captured in a modern fashionable way, becoming treasured memories later on.
Alongside this documentary coverage, Tom also creates relaxed portraits that feel natural yet fashion forward. With a background in studio fashion and portrait photography, he has a strong understanding of light, trends and composition. This allows him to give couples prompts to talk about to keep the experience chill and enjoyable.
Tom began photographing weddings in 2012 after studying photography at university. Early in his career he won The Photographer Academy Apprenticeship, a global competition with more than 800 photographers, and his work has since been featured in the Best Of category of Italian Vogue.
Today he photographs weddings mostly across Kent, the South East and Cambridge. He lives with his wife, son & daughter by the sea.
Tom aims to run his photography business in a thoughtful and environmentally conscious way. He works locally where possible and carefully chooses print labs that prioritise sustainable materials and responsible production. By photographing weddings primarily in the UK, travel distances are kept lower, helping reduce the overall environmental impact of his work. Tom also follows a vegan lifestyle, which he believes is one of the most impactful ways individuals can support animals and the environment.

Tom is such a lovely person to work with. Calm, friendly, and professional, he made everything feel easy and natural from start to finish. He has a real talent for being in the right place at the right time without ever being in the way. We genuinely barely noticed him taking the candid shots, yet he somehow caught all the best moments.
What we love most is how real the photos are. Nothing feels forced or staged. He captured proper smiles, laughter, happy tears, and the little moments between people that you would otherwise miss. Every photo feels like it has emotion in it, not just a picture.
When it comes to special moments like this, Tom is worth every bit of it. I genuinely think it’s worth spending that bit more on the photographer, because you only get one chance to capture a day like this and Tom delivers a luxury, high end result while still keeping it natural and true to the day.
The 35mm analogue film is also such an amazing addition. It gives the photos a timeless, cinematic feel and adds something really special alongside the digital shots. That mix is honestly perfect and makes the whole gallery feel even more premium.

I can honestly say Tom was the perfect photographer for our wedding! The photos are beautiful and really captured the energy of the day. We really valued investing in a high-end photography service and we were so glad we did.
However, what really elevated our experience was the fact Tom felt like a part of the team throughout the wedding planning. It was awesome that he was immediately onboard with our decision to have a small, fully vegan wedding at an animal sanctuary.
