Lilia Nash Jewellery
Handmade engagement and wedding rings ethically made in Cornwall for a lifetime of love and beyond
Who are we...
Hello, I’m Lilia, an artisan goldsmith with over 21 years of experience, handmaking timeless, unique pieces that are created for a lifetime of love and beyond. I have a deep passion for retaining the traditional techniques of jewellery making, while creating pieces that don’t cost the Earth, using recycled, sustainable metals and ethical gemstones.
At Lilia Nash Jewellery, we understand that your wedding and engagement rings are so much more than just rings – they represent your love, your style, and your ethos. They are much more than rings to us, too. We consider every chapter in the story of our jewellery – starting with the ethical and sustainable origins of the materials, followed by the handmaking process, and continued by you with the love your ring affirms and the future heirloom it will become.
Our rings are characterised by a timeless yet contemporary aesthetic. Lilia is inspired by the diverse landscapes of Cornwall, fusing these natural forms with nods of vintage elegance. Each piece is entirely handmade by Lilia in our Cornish studio, using traditional jewellery-making techniques. With over 21 years of experience as a fine jeweller, Lilia’s rings are renowned for their exceptional quality and exquisite design.
At the heart of Lilia Nash Jewellery is a deep passion for the natural world. We know the negative impact the jewellery industry can have – from the destructive extraction of metals from mines and rivers, to the mass production of cheaply cast rings. We are here to change the narrative in the jewellery industry. We use exclusively 100% recycled 18ct gold and 950 platinum, with any excess metal collected and refined once more – giving it another life and reducing waste. We also use fair trade diamonds, sapphires and other gemstones, and offer lab-grown diamonds as an alternative. Moreover, with every ring handmade by Lilia with meticulous attention to detail, they are made to last – to be worn, loved and treasured for a lifetime and beyond.
We know the importance of finding your perfect wedding and engagement rings, and would love to be a part of your story. We have a ready-to-wear collection of unique, beautiful rings – for when your love just can’t wait! Alternatively, you can work with Lilia to design bespoke engagement and wedding rings that are perfect for you.
Protecting the natural world in any way possible is at the heart of Lilia Nash Jewellery. We are passionate about creating positive environmental and social change in the jewellery industry, so we use exclusively recycled precious metals and ethical, fair trade or lab-grown gemstones.
The jewellery industry has traditionally relied heavily on exploiting natural resources – from mining precious metals out of the Earth or rivers, to mass-producing poor-quality, cast jewellery. For instance, the creation of just one ring from newly extracted gold can result in five tons of environmental waste. This not only contaminates local soil but can also pollute nearby freshwater, causing detrimental impacts to wildlife and local communities. We are here to change that narrative. All of our rings are made with 100% recycled 18ct gold and 950 platinum – never using newly mined metals. Any offcuts of this metal are collected and refined to be used once again, further reducing our impact.
Wherever feasible, we prioritise using gemstones that are traceable, fair trade, recycled from vintage jewellery or lab-grown. There is no compromise on the quality of these ethical gemstones, with each stone being carefully selected by Lilia from our trusted suppliers based on their quality, colour, and unique properties.
Often, jewellery marketed as ‘handmade’ is actually mass-produced using a process called casting and is simply finished by hand. This process results in a high volume of identical rings, all of a lower quality, due to the higher porosity of the metal, which can cause breakages down the line. Our rings, however, are truly handmade by Lilia, using traditional goldsmithing techniques. Using these techniques not only reduces our carbon footprint but also makes every ring unique. Lilia’s expertise, precision and skill ensure that each piece is made to last, to be worn and loved, not only for a lifetime, but to become a future heirloom.
While we take every measure possible to reduce our carbon footprint, we understand we are not perfect… nobody is. However, we are constantly researching new technologies and techniques to further our commitment to environmental conservation. If you have any questions about our ethos and philosophy, please reach out to us.
“I was looking for an engagement ring to propose to my girlfriend, the main criteria being that it was ethically sourced and made. Lilia was extremely helpful from the start, explaining all the different things to consider and making recommendations as well as creating numerous quotes for me as I explored different options and changed my mind. I even went to the shop to see some of the options. Communication was perfect throughout. My fiancé said yes, and we are both delighted with the rings.” – Tom and Roanna
“Outstanding service and communication from start to finish. Lilia is such a kind and consummate professional, answering all my questions and working closely with me on a bespoke design. Her handmade engagement ring was perfect; talked me through every step of the process; and helped me create a ring that my partner said “couldn’t have found a better one myself”. She even sourced the exact gemstone I was after and really went that extra mile. I could not recommend them enough, thank you Lilia!” – Giles. G
“I would highly recommend Lilia Nash if you want to buy an ethically sourced ring. We didn’t feel rushed at all when I tried on many rings, and whilst my ring was being made, the team communicated its progress. It’s a really personal service via lovely people” – Rachel. M
“I discovered Lilia 3 years ago. Lilia’s designs stand out as different from the regular high streets designs, more interesting and very elegant, whilst retaining a signature which somehow identifies the work as Lilias.” – Jo. H
