Beautiful locally grown wedding flowers on a north London plot
Who are we...
We’re Marianne and Camila of WLFC: a cutting garden and floristry workshop based in north London. We grow beautiful flowers and foliage without chemicals, to provide seasonal and environmentally friendly wedding floristry in the city and beyond.
Wolves Lane Flower Company was started in April 2017 by Camila and Marianne, two friends passionate about flowers, growing and respecting the environment.
Despite having established careers in theatre and fashion we nurtured a shared ambition to devote our time to nature. Today, on our north London plot we grow beautiful, seasonal flowers and foliage from seed, without chemicals and with sustainable principles at the heart of everything we do. Our floral designs celebrate seasonality and we aim to inspire people with the potential of British, locally grown flowers, without compromising on beauty and quality.
We offer a full bespoke floristry design service for our couples; this includes advice on what flowers are in season, how to make the biggest impact with your budget and when time allows, we can even grow specific flowers with your wedding day in mind. Flowers and their scent are full of meaning and memories and we love the idea of being able to create something unique for each couple.
If you love the idea of being more hands on, we can create your bouquets, buttonholes, flower crowns and corsages while you get creative with bundles of freshly cut, loose flowers from our cutting garden to dress your venue. Working with flowers is a wonderful thing to do in the lead up to your wedding, and can work brilliantly as a unique hen do activity. As experienced event planners from our previous lives we are on hand to advise and help with any logistics or practicalities.
As two flower enthusiasts and nature lovers we are committed to growing our flowers from seed. We never use chemicals and follow an organic approach to flower farming. We avoid plastic at all costs and seek to inspire and excite couples with seasonal British flowers. Our cutting season runs from March – November and during these months we'll supply beautiful, fragrant locally grown wedding flowers. If we ever need to supplement our own flowers from another source we are fully transparent about where those flowers come from. Couples can rest assured that our first port of call will be to other local flower growers and that all our blooms will be 100% British grown. The carbon footprint generated by the flower industry in the UK is something that WLFC is committed to reducing one bouquet at a time. This is why we’re happy to provide other florists with our London grown flowers, empowering others to offer beautiful floristry while also protecting the environment.
