Eco-florist specialising in wild and ethical wedding flowers
Who are we...
Wild & Wondrous are an eco-florist team with a passion for using British grown flowers for your wedding.
Wild & Wondrous are an eco-florist providing a bespoke wedding design service throughout the North West. Seasonal British flowers and local foliages are our speciality, working with nature to turn wedding dreams into reality.
It’s our wish here at Wild & Wondrous Flowers to work as sustainably as possible. We endeavour to do this by stocking British grown and ethically certified imported flowers wherever possible. Wild & Wondrous promote the use of vases and containers that are recyclable or reusable. We carry a large range of vintage pots, upcycled jars, and recycled glass vases.
Each flower has its own season, its own personality and suits a certain person or occasion. Flowers make any space come alive and help to make each wedding day uniquely romantic and timeless, making the day truly memorable.
We provide bridal bouquets, bridesmaid flowers, flower crowns, hair flowers, buttonholes and boutonnieres. All aspects of venue flowers and dressing such as table decorations, large arrangements, ceremony and aisle dressing, chair covers and sashes, flower arches and garlands, hanging flower arrangements and lots of bespoke items such as seating plans, bunting, place names, favours and signs.
The majority of flowers sold in the U.K are imported, mostly air-freighted and refrigerated in articulated lorries and subsequently create an unacceptable carbon footprint. As florists and retailers it is our job to offer the consumer a product that is grown and produced in a more ethical and sustainable way.
By using British grown flowers for your wedding you are not just making an ethical decision but you will also help to prolong a heritage of horticulture in Britain. Supporting UK growers can really help to build up the industry in this country at this time when farmers need it most. However, we understand there are times when specialist flowers are called for and do need to be imported. In these circumstances, we use only ethical sources.
Here at Wild & Wondrous we endeavour to use as much biodegradable packaging as possible, using paper and raffia produced in the UK instead of cellophanes and poly ribbons, to wrap our bouquets with. We sell affordable new and vintage vases and containers that can be reused. The vase replenishment service that we provide is proving very popular with our customer because they get more flowers for their money, they are not paying of all that packaging!
