Cake love: a homemade autumn blackberry layer wedding cake
Today is the last Friday in November, so before I dive into finding you some seriously lovely winter wedding cakes, I thought I’d do a last hoo-ra to autumn! And what could be more appropriate than this beautiful homemade layer cake, filled with cream and jam, and topped with a pile of gleaming blackberries and a wreath of rosemary.
No, this might not technically be a wedding cake, it is from one of my favourite blogs that I check once a week for a good dose of photos of utterly lovely living. I think that sometimes nothing could be nicer than a simple homemade cake, made from quality ingredients, filled with sumptuous flavours, and topped off with a seasonal flourish.
I couldn’t imagine a nicer cake to cut into at an autumn wedding than this one.
