Wedding dress made from jasmine flowers

What could be more beautiful than a wedding dress made from jasmine flowers for a bride who grew up and got married in her home of Bali?  I have been totally sucked into the beauty of this wedding, of how it so effortlessly sits within its setting.

Natural Bali wedding

Having watched two TED talks by the bride and her father, it’s quite apparent that this whole family is committed to sustainability and the natural world, in a way most of us can only dream about.

Strings of jasmine flowers

Reading the details about this Bali wedding it says that the strings of jasmine flowers and buds were made the day of the wedding, and that Elora, the bride, was sewn into her dress!

She also wore jasmine flowers in her hair…

In keeping with the surrounding landscape, the bride carried a bouquet of rice grass…

I hope this heavenly wedding can encourage you to look at the place where you are getting married and to reflect it in your wedding.  The most natural of settings will provide you will all the inspiration you need to create a beautiful and timeless wedding.

When you have a moment be sure to go and look through this full Bali wedding which is in two parts (1 + 2), and if you are interested I would recommend watching the two TED talks that are linked in part 1.

I’ve just followed through to the links to see the full wedding- I literally don’t know what to say, I’ve re-written this so many times. It’s the best wedding.

This is a totally exquisite dress! It is my absolute dream to make a wedding dress out of flowers …but jasmine with all that scent…fabulous, it must have taken that gent hours of work to make. Breathtaking, what a lucky bride!

This is amazingly incredible… The hotel which organized this wedding is apparently also owned by the family, and is called Bambu Indah. Beautiful.
