Be inspired by bridal bouquets brimming with delicate ferns ~ bold and colourful
Charlie

I’ve been pulling together this blog post for a while now, it is surprising how difficult it has been to find beautiful bouquets and arrangements using ferns. Hopefully if you’re looking for something a bit different and ferns appeal to you that this will save you a lot of time trawling the internet in search of inspiration.
Just today I was out in the rain walking around my local National Trust and the ferns have gone mad! In the last week they have transformed from tiny coils pushing through the soil to knee-high and lush green. I think ferns would be an obvious choice for a woodland wedding bouquet, however I don’t think they should be pigeon-holed as they are just so beautiful.
In the first part of this feature on ferns, I’m showcasing colourful bouquets and arrangements where ferns have been used, and tomorrow I will share bouquets with a more neutral and soft palette. I must say, the top arrangement is one of my favourites – which is yours?
A bridal bouquet of apricot coloured orchids and soft green ferns…
A bright later summer bouquet with ferns, grasses and trailing brambles…
A sunny wedding bouquet with purple-blue anemones dotted amongst yellow and green foliage and delicate ferns…
A striking bouquet of lavender, roses and grasses surrounded by thin green ferns…
Hot pink floral bouquets surrounded by ferns…
A romantic bouquet of peach coloured peonies, blush tinged tulips and dainty ferns…
A loose and wild looking bridal bouquet of pink and purple garden flowers, poppy seedheads, crab apples and ferns…
A cascading bridal bouquet of deep jewel coloured flowers and trembling ferns…
I hope you’ve enjoyed and been inspired by the first part of my feature on ferns, and do check back tomorrow for the second part when I’ll be showcasing my favourite finds for a more neutral and soft colour palette.
If you’re planning on incorporating ferns into your bridal bouquet or wedding flowers I’d love to hear from you and about your ideas – if you’re happy to share them with everyone do leave a message in the comments box below.
Equally it would be lovely to hear from you if you’ve been inspired by any of these bouquets or to use ferns in your wedding flowers.

I love all of the above bouquets – gorgeous! I’m getting married in September and knew I wanted ferns in my bouquets since day one. I’m from the Lakes and love the memories i have of walking in the wet bracken…By chance the venue is surrounded by woodland too! Love the crab apples bouquet and the peach peonies… beautiful. Definitely inspired!
