Beautiful buttonholes ~ part one

For a while now I’ve been collecting images of buttonholes that I think are particularly inspirational or beautiful.  Here’s a showcase of them, in two parts.

Buttonholes for winter or spring wedding:

Buttonholes made from fabric or ribbon – original, perfect for a wintery wedding and an ideal handmade project for crafty brides.

Making use of pine cones and acorns, a low cost option for those who are prepared to collect from the surrounding countryside, hedgerows and woodlands.

More acorns and leaves tied with a sweet bow…

I love the use of grape hyacinths and succulents in these pretty buttonholes.

Red, white and black a beautiful combination for a wintery or early spring wedding.

Snow whites and fresh spring greens – a perfect match for an early spring wedding.  Paperwhites or would be ideal for buttonholes, and you can order them from Scented Narcissi on the Isles of Scilly.
