A stress-free rustic barn wedding venue in the stunning Lancashire moorlands
Who are we...
I’m Celia the Managing Director of The Wellbeing Farm and my fun and friendly crew ‘Team Wellbeing’ insist on providing the ultimate countryside wedding venue for stress-free, fun, quirky, magical wedding experiences. We can’t wait for you to visit and our Llamas, Donkeys and Alpacas look forward to meeting you.
The Wellbeing Farm certainly isn’t an ordinary wedding venue. We specialise in stress-free relaxed, fun, quirky weddings, where everything from the food and styling, to the entertainment, can be tailored to suit and support you. Our farm is exclusive hire, so your special day is fully yours.
The farm is located in the stunning Lancashire moorlands, and is the perfect country chic venue for you to create a unique wedding experience that will reflect your personalities. We can hold up to 170 guests for the ceremony, and up to 300 for the evening reception.
We’re perfect for those who want a Pinterest-style Barn wedding, but don’t have the time or resources to fully transform a venue. In the hire price, we provide a fantastic range of props for you to use, which are great for creating fabulous photographs. If you want that dreamy outdoor wedding, we have a large, pristine lawn area which is fully licensed for marriages.
On the farm there’s a tipi, a horsebox bar, a fire-pit and a Llama-themed boudoir. You can also hire our spectacular off-location Wedding House, including its own lake, forest, and tennis court.
Even our animals like to get in on the fun! So, if you have always dreamt of having llamas, alpacas, and donkeys in your wedding photos, we do that.
Our award-winning butchers and Cookery School ensure that anything from formal dinners, to hog roast suppers, can be prepared for you, using home grown and local produce wherever we can.
So far, nothing has been too strange here at The Wellbeing Farm! Just ask!
It would be wrong of us to put the word ‘Wellbeing’ in our name if we didn’t care about the wellbeing of the planet, too. Sustainability is one of the cornerstones our business was built upon, so we make sure to be environmentally conscious in everything that we do.
For instance, we have our very own wind turbine! It supplies clean energy to the entirety of the farm. Food miles stay low as all meats are locally sourced from our own family butchers and we even rear our own Wheatsheaf Farm lamb. Polytunnels around the farm are used to grow edible flowers to decorate the meals with!
We are recycling pros and love finding ways to be more environmentally friendly. We will support couples who would like to have a minimal waste wedding and can help and suggest ways to do this.
Any food waste is collected and turned into fertiliser, we recycle as much as we can and have banned single-use plastic.
We have an on-site Prop Store which is just like an Aladdin’s Cave with everything you need to transform the Barn into your personalised Pinterest vision. This means no unnecessary hire charges or purchases for you.
We do try and reduce unnecessary paper and have made all our contracts, documentation and brochures online – this saves printing, reduces paper and makes the process quicker for everyone.
Other organisations have recognised our eco credentials, too - we’ve been awarded a Green Tourism Gold Award.
