Growing English, seasonal flowers and foliage in a cutting garden in Lincolnshire
Who are we...
Hi I'm Rachel, a florist & gardener, growing most of my flowers in the walled garden at Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire. I'm passionate about growing, cutting & arranging natural, seasonal flowers.
At Catkin we use English grown flowers and run the business as sustainably as possible but never compromise on style.
The flowers are grown in a cutting garden in Lincolnshire, and are often grown specifically for clients. The flower arrangements are designed especially for each couple and if they know where they have come from and can see them in the garden it makes the experience much more personal. But, it is not enough to just rely on the fact that the flowers are English grown to set the business apart.
The flowers have to be gorgeous and exactly what the client has in their mind - it is my job to interpret that and deliver their vision in as a sustainable way as possible.
We provide a personal, bespoke service for our clients and are about gorgeous, stylish, fit for purpose English wedding flowers. We feel very strongly that flowers and floristry should be accessible and run lots of courses to help people to grow flowers and arrange them, including wedding flowers.
Rachel is understandably very proud of her cutting garden which takes a lot of effort and planning! Our flowers are grown in an Elizabethan walled cutting garden, without using any harmful pesticides or chemicals.
