Coming up this weekend TNWC wedding venue The House Meadow are holding an open weekend for all you lovely brides- and grooms-to-be out there who are looking for a beautiful meadow setting for your wedding day.
If you’re looking to get married in Kent, or if you’re on the hunt for that dream spot to say your vows beneath a tree in an English meadow, then you must get yourselves along this weekend to take a look at what The House Meadow has to offer.

The House Meadow is described as “country charm in its purest form.” It’s one of those special places that can be a completely blank (and rather stunning!) backdrop to enable you to create the wedding you want. The meadow is full of beautiful details, whilst remaining rustic – something that is so often difficult to find amongst wedding venues.

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you’ll probably know that this past weekend I went to London for the first Etsy UK Wedding Event. It was a fabulous showcase of British Etsy sellers who are crafting beautiful wedding items and I was delighted to be invited to get involved.
I’ve long been a fan (and customer) of Etsy, a number of my TNWC businesses have Etsy shops, and I’ve always tried to support small hand, are businesses by featuring their work here on the blog.

No doubt there are lots of you who would have liked to attend the event on Saturday but were unable to, so I wanted to try my best to share the experience here on the blog. With a little help from my sister Izzy Burton we’ve created a sort of virtual showcase of just some of what was on display at the event in the form on inspiration boards.
I do hope you enjoy having a look around!

Evening lovely friends! You might have heard that this weekend in London it’s the first ever Etsy UK Wedding Event, and it looks set to be a cracking day. I’ve got five pairs of tickets to the afternoon to giveaway to some of my lucky readers, so keep reading to find out how you could get your mitts on a pair.
The Etsy Wedding Event is taking place in Soho in London this Saturday 11th May 2013, and will be full of wedding inspiration, including a selection of unique handmade and vintage items. I’m told there will be a little bit of everything on show from decor and dresses to stationery and tableware!
Here’s one of my Etsy wedding inspiration boards as featured on the Etsy blog this week

As well as a selection of handpicked Etsy sellers there will DIY workshops running throughout the day. Hosted by Parapluie Events, these DIY workshops will let you have a go at making a selection of wedding decorations from colour themed pom-poms to bride and groom pegs.

I am currently working on some improvements to the website and blog, which I am really excited about and hope to get ‘live’ soon. I’m hoping one of the those improvements will be a dedicated events pages where you can find out, all in one place, the brilliant events, open days, fairs, and workshops that TNWC businesses are hosting around the country.
In the meantime, with so many coming up in the couple of months I thought I’d do a round-up so you can see if there’s any that take your fancy.

In four weeks time the White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair will be once again gracing the beautiful town hall in Stockport. Held on Sunday 24th February 2013, the fair will run from 11am – 4pm and be stocked full of local, hand-picked suppliers to inspire unique brides across the North.
Exclusive to The Natural Wedding Company I have 20 free tickets to the fair and 10 free ‘Bridal Boot’ tables to give away – so read on if you fancy winning either (or both!) of those!
White Memoirs is an independent vintage wedding fair seeking out their suppliers by searching every corner, back alley, road, street and website there is. And, of course, White Memoirs wouldn’t be the same without fantastic live entertainment from the amazing Miss Kiki deVille as well as special performances from numerous vintage acts!
Like they did at the October wedding fair, White Memoirs will be hosting an exclusive bridal catwalk show featuring their favourite bridal boutiques and accessory designers.

This weekend Posh Frocks & Wellies are holding an open weekend so that you can see their beautiful canvas marquees decorated with their selection of interiors and to talk to the team about your wedding day.
Whether you’re after a rustic country chic look or a festival feel, Posh Frocks & Wellies have the finishing touches to help bring your wedding dreams to life. I’ve been told that they are going to have set up their ‘Rose Garden’ theme and their new ‘Bohemian Dream’ theme plus a luxury bell tent to view.

As well as the canvas marquees and interiors, you will also be able to see examples of different furniture styles for your wedding breakfast, there will be lots of inspirations for table dressings with jugs of seasonal flowers and handmade place settings, plus vintage china and a vintage inspired sweetie table.

On Saturday I shared Jennie Hill’s lovely photos from the Eco Wedding Fair (you can see it all here), and today I’ve got my pictures of my stall and a few more details about how I decorated it. Perhaps you’ll find some inspiration for your wedding or just an autumn or winter celebration you might be planning.
We arrived at Riverstation in Bristol at about 9am and first we had to: unpack a number of boxes of what at first glance probably looked like a pile of junk, carry two heavy buckets of sand up a flight of stairs, and manoeuvre a bundle of 7ft long bamboo canes. I was so pleased that the other exhibitors had equally quirky bootfuls for their stalls!

My mom and I had two hours to set up before visitors started arriving, so here’s what I did with the mottley collection of items. I used a pair of curtains to cover my table – they are a rather fun botanical print style curtain with what looks like horse chestnut leaves on them, and they ended up working in perfectly with that autumn feel I was going for.

The two metal buckets of sand went either side of the table and they held some of my bamboo canes – apologies this is the best picture I have which shows the bamboo canes and bunting…
