So far this year we’ve had some really lovely competitions on The Natural Wedding Company blog, and I must say there are more lovely ones to come. Today I’m launching a competition from new TNWC business Mama Wolf to win this gorgeous springtime bow tie and matching pocket square.
I’m particularly delighted to have a competition prize that’s for the men in our weddings. Whether you want to win it for you groom-to-be, the best man, the father-of-the-bride, or maybe even a page boy, or even if you’re not getting married and you’d like to win it for a bow tie lover in your life, then read on for how you can enter.

When spring finally arrived on our British shores this year it has been spectacular – the hawthorn leaves unfurling and blossom budding all over the place. What could be nicer for a spring wedding that this springtime bow tie and pocket square?
Made from upcycled pure cotton, like all Mama Wolf products, they have been handmade with every effort to ensure they meet their ethical selection criteria (recycled, vintage, fair-trade, organic, up-cycled and natural fibre fabric).
What’s more, Mama Wolf created this bow tie and pocket square exclusively for The Natural Wedding Company readers, so you won’t find this design anywhere else! If you’d like to enter to win this delightful set, read on below for full details of how.

Evening lovely friends! You might have heard that this weekend in London it’s the first ever Etsy UK Wedding Event, and it looks set to be a cracking day. I’ve got five pairs of tickets to the afternoon to giveaway to some of my lucky readers, so keep reading to find out how you could get your mitts on a pair.
The Etsy Wedding Event is taking place in Soho in London this Saturday 11th May 2013, and will be full of wedding inspiration, including a selection of unique handmade and vintage items. I’m told there will be a little bit of everything on show from decor and dresses to stationery and tableware!
Here’s one of my Etsy wedding inspiration boards as featured on the Etsy blog this week

As well as a selection of handpicked Etsy sellers there will DIY workshops running throughout the day. Hosted by Parapluie Events, these DIY workshops will let you have a go at making a selection of wedding decorations from colour themed pom-poms to bride and groom pegs.

I hope you’ve all had a great weekend and that the sun shone for you, at least a bit. What better way to start the week than with an exclusive offer for all you lovely TNWC readers!
One of recent additions to the directory, Ellie Gillard Photography, was keen to introduce herself to you – I was delighted because not only does Ellie take gorgeous photographs, but like all our businesses she does her bit to run her business in an eco-friendly way.
So if you’re on the hunt for a wedding photographer then get to know Ellie Gillard Photography a bit more, and enjoy looking at some beautiful pictures from weddings she’s captured. Plus, at the bottom you’ll find an exclusive 15% off last minute availability offer if you book before the end of May 2013! Over to Ellie…

Hi, I’m Ellie. I’m the photographer, owner and general dogsbody at Ellie Gillard Photography. I love to photograph couples who want to break for the norm, I always think a picture says a thousand words but what you might not know is that I’m also eco-friendly, both in my life and in the way I run my business. So I make four key promises.

This afternoon is a pretty exciting one for all of you TNWC readers who entered our House of Whatnot competition to win a beautiful embroidered wedding map. It was one of the most popular competition’s we’ve run and there were so many lovely entries, which meant Sally from House of Whatnot had a really difficult time choose a winner.
As with most competition’s there has to be just one winner, and I’m delighted to announce that the lucky person who’ll be receiving their very own personalised embroidered wedding map from House of Whatnot is…

Huge congratulations to Nicola! Sally from House of Whatnot really loved all of the map details you are already incorporating into your wedding and felt one of her wedding maps would suit it well. Sally will be in touch with you shortly by email to arrange getting your map made.

There have been some fab competitions on the blog recently (check out this one that you still have until midnight today to enter!) and I’ve got some great ones coming up as well. Today I am delighted to be announcing the lucky winner of the Zara veil from ethical wedding dress company Minna.
We had some lovely entries – it is so nice reading all about your wedding plans and why you’d like to win – but sadly there can only be one winner. That lucky bride-to-be who has won the Zara veil to wear on her wedding day is…

*Please note this competition is now closed 28/03/13*
There are some lovely little businesses out there and when an email drops into my inbox from one who creates a product that I utterly love, it’s a pure pleasure to share details (and a competition!) with you all. Today I get to introduce you to Sally who runs House of Whatnot creating these beautiful framed maps with embroidered personalised details.

If, like me, you fall head-over-heels for Sally’s delightful keepsakes, then you might want to enter the competition at the bottom of the blog post – one lucky couple will win a personalised framed map, featuring a special location to you picked out with an embroidered heart and your initials. I am just so envious of whoever wins this!

There really are some wonderful and exciting courses and workshops popping up at the moment, I must book onto a few more as those that I have done I have loved. TNWC business Green & Gorgeous always have a fabulous programme of courses throughout the year, but have just added to new ones especially for those getting married – and I have a special discount on them just for you!
This summer Green & Gorgeous will be running two special courses, one called ‘Grow You Own Wedding Flowers’ and the other ‘Arrange Your Own Wedding Flowers’. Rachel from Green & Gorgeous told me that it will be a great opportunity “to enjoy the unique and deeply satisfying experience of watching your wedding flowers grow from a few seeds to armfuls of fresh, garden grown blooms.”

Having previously attending a Green & Gorgeous flower course I can definitely recommend them – I went with my mum just before my own wedding and we learnt how to arrange with cut flowers. You can read about my experience here and see the beautiful arrangements we created.
Below is a little more detail on each of the courses, which are being run on multiple dates during April 2013, and then the special TNWC discount.
