Folded accordion save the dates – a fun alternative to a traditional card

Folded accordion save the date

Save the dates have become immensely popular in the past few years, but there are still fresh ideas out there for making them a bit more interesting than a card in the post.  I love this idea of creating a folded save the date that contains the kind of information you normally send out with the invitations.

Accordion style save the date

A few clever folds to create this accordion shape and you have yourself a rather nifty save the date.  If you’ve come across my ‘how to’ for our save the dates you’ll know I looked for a way make them envelope-less.  I think you could go without envelopes for this style of save the date, by simply tying the folded card with twine or raffia (much like I did with my own save the dates) and writing the address on the outside.
